I think I deserve a gift of Silver due to my being such a loyal viewer and all around good guy!
Hehehe...
I agree though. I tend not to pay much attention to the highs and lows, though I will admit to buying extra Silver & Gold when I see unusually large paybacks. I simply buy every single time I get a paycheck and therefore add to my supply without any worry about the gamble. What I know is that at the end, I'll have preserved my wealth while everyone else will be selling their clothes.
Reminds me of how we will be paying dearly for the borrowed bailout money that the politicians are really using to buy favors, votes and power. Money has become so detached from something of value anchoring it, and the consequences so well hidden that the politicians are duping the hell out of us.
@stereokid Very true. The consequences are dire, and they is not being postponed to the future like people think. In the next few years we will face the full consequences, and it will not be pleasant.
SF, I dont buy metals as an investment. Im already retired. I buy metals to prevent losing the wealth Ive already accumulated, small as it is, LOL. I buy metals to get out of the US dollar. When the time comes that I have to start selling my metals, I will have lost money because I still held too many dollars.
It's a good point that if you narrow yourself down by buying and saying "I have to sell within X months because I will need cash again then", you are playing a lottery. Yes, silver is a good buy, but if you're on a small time frame (just a few months) then you could be selling for less than you bought.
A good strategy for me is to buy when it dips, and just never sell at all. Yes I have a silver website which I sell from, but that's not my silver, that's my business's silver.
The powers that be manipulate the price of gold and silver. They also manipulate the price of everything in the capital markets. This is accomplished through the Federal Reserve.
@freedominsomalia yes! Our society has turned into a giant casino, nothing is safe from the speculators. The only safe bet I can see is holding nickels, lol.
hey give me a present.

I agree, lottery capitalism is creating diminishing returns, the system is in the process of breaking down.

@JOConnor100 everything that is being traded today is most likely manipulated! Maybe baseball cards are an exception.

You dont buy metals to make money,
You buy them to keep it.
If your currency collapses, you will be in WAY better shape then everyone else around you, metals will still have value.
Dont these people understand the word [collapse]? Like in (NO) buying power!
Who cares if a flyin f**k if it goes up or down, the important thing is it remains.

Like Max Keiser keeps repeating over and over: We all live in a "casino gulag economy".
So whenever I've got a few bucks sitting in my checking account, doing nothing, I buy a few coins (i.e.: I roll the dice and take my chances...).
