It must have took them ages to compose this album with all the classical influences. So many layers of keyboards. Wonderful! Probably the best symphonic bm album along with In Times Before the Light by Covenant, Stormblast by Dimmu and Witchcraft by Obtained Enslavement. Anyone agree?
moon in the scorpio es un claro ejemplo de como es que se debe hacer el black metal sinfonico por mas que busco no hay bandas como limbonic art, apartir del minuto 4:01 hasta finalizar es lo mejor de este song
@blackhert666 yes like Therion Limbonic Art have many songs where the best part of the music is closer to the end,but I should say the even better part, thats it!!!
This the first song from Limbonic Art that I ever heard off of a Black Metal compilation cd and I've LOVED them ever since. BEST BLACK METAL BAND, PERIOD!!! \m/\m/
Love that intro it's so eerie and that first guitar riff epic brutality. Just the whole atmosphere of this song or the band in general. Great atmospheric symphonic black metal
Limbonic art sucks as of ever since this record... Faster angrier louder and shallow.... yea, where did the temper go?... this was dark and enchanting
ever since this record? this was the fisrt one so all the other records sucked? i think most of them are great, but if you say that In Abhorrence Dementia sucks you are simply an idiot..
Their grittier, 'angrier' style that you are referring to didn't really start until "Ad Noctum", before that album their style was predominantly dark and symphonic like this.
I enjoy the older Limbonic Art much much more :-)
Ye... "Ad Noctum", what a horrible reminder. Came closely after the "abhorrence" didnt it?.. I admit couple of songs cought my ear from abhorrence; most likely the ones they meditated abit on..
My bet is they thought everyone was an idiot and tried to make money by mass producing unfinished "records"
Listen to all the fancy words, its overwritten, plump and... no breaks (wich means no contrast and no shape)
Everyone has their taste i suppose. But im not buying into that.
I thought 'Abhorrence' was really good, the symphonics weren't as monolithic as on 'Moon' but they were dominant and quite powerful, strengthened further by the more dynamic drum compositions. And most of L.A.'s lyrics are overwritten pulp about the Dark Lord, cold nights and death, but whatever, I eat that shit up :-P
believe it or not .. this album and epitome of illusions , especially this one .. got me addicted to moony nights where i simply feel like am flying into space ... brilliantly composed and so fuckin atmospheric .. all hail LIMBONIC!
Hm, how did I get here? Oh well... I'l be an infantile just for this... first comment! Anyway, never heard of this band but to be honest, even though i'm usually not that fond of Black Metal, I'm impressed.

Dominus Spiritus Sathanas, Dominus Virtus
Dominus Spiritus Virtus Sathanas
Cruel are the eyes of the tyrant
And his heart is abounded to pain
In pleasures of agony and torture
As he begs to bleed in vain

At 1.43 sounds like Dimmu
Black symphonic metal is simply enchanting...

I would rather have MitS and Ad Noctum than two MitS. It's all genius.

It's somekind of tradition in the BM circles to say everything sucked after -inser band here- first album. I never understood the idea in it.

I listened to this before a rugby match to get pumped up, but instead I felt like sacrificing people. Hail Limbonic Art

LOL
Probably not acceptable behavior in rugby.
But certainly fine here.

The outro is so gorgeous.
bloodrocuted 3 years ago 2
@bloodrocuted the outro is actually another track, but was added to the end of "Through Gleams Of Death" in a reissue of Moon In The Scorpio.
A grim darkened spirit
In a world of woe
Imprisoned evil beauty
From the cold depths below
