They say that your nationality and your age doesn't matter, but I recently found out that on SME's page for auditioning, it's highly unlikely that they won't except you if you are not Asian. I was really sad hearing that, thinking about it, I haven't seen someone in SM who isn't Asian... But hey, maybe it'll be different this year :D

I think Krystal's English is still extremely good considering that she only stayed in America until she was, I think, 11? And then she was recruited to SM so since she was so young back then, it must've been quite natural for her to pick up a slight Korean accent once she was in training. She just can't quite say the 'th' sound and she says the 'o' sound like the Korean 'o' sound but other than that, it's good!

And OMG I seriously love it when they speak other languages hahaha , SO AWESOME! :D

@lylacgirl123 SM has a US branch and I think if you get accepted, you train for a bit in their US branch then get sent off to the main headquarters in Korea for more training.
