@DahgreatJ ....How in the nine blazes is that just the thief?! He had green clothes! Not blue and brown! (Which, incidently, are Bartz's colors...) And it's because I didn't get that far in FFVII, because my older brother stole it, among other things, when he left the house. (So I haven't gotten far enough in the story to remember all of the things that made Yuffie the obvious choice. She just didn't look right in that shot.) Also, IX is my favorite FF, so.... XD Yeah. I KNOW those characters!

I think those are from different versions of the game. I've definitely heard of Butz being an alternative to Bartz. It's kind of like how the 4 elemental lords in FF4 have different names too. Like Cagnazzo was Cainazzo, etc.

Well I personally don't consider them wrong. I just consider them to be different versions, and whichever appeals to whom you know. It's the same thing with Aeris/Aerith. I'm used to saying Aeris, because when I first played the game that's what her name was, despite most fans now using the Aerith version of her name.
