BUYER BEWARE!!!! these rc tanks are shit! utter and complete garbage!! a buddy of mine got one from RC ARMORY and couple years later the hull now has a big crack in the front!! Not sure whether its from his poor driving habits or just not taking care of it. but regardless, the hull shouldn't have a gaping crack like his has, pm me if you all dont believe me these tanks are not the "quality" you'd expect to have for a 3-4 thousand $ price!! Please keep looking elsewhere! cheers
Please be careful with comments like these, I am sure prospective buyers have viewed this ( and my other videos) to help reach a conclusion when purchasing one of these kits, or any other kit for that matter. You have already mentioned that your friend might have “poor driving skills” and from my experience with models of this scale and bigger, the way they are driven and more importantly MAINTANIED can drastically effect there lifespan.
Beutiful! How much did this one cost? iv'e hear that the 1:4's can cost $10,000 and like im going to spend that much on a R/C when I could buy a trans am or something :P
the size of the tank does depend on two things, the scale and the tank its based on. the king tiger was a very large tank, so even in 1/8th scale, it ver big. the models lenght is 49.50 inches, and nearly 27 inches wide. messure that on the floor and you get an idea of just how big it is.
ooo right i have a smoke and sound system on my tank but the smoke part seems to not work all then time. Also the smoke comes out very faintly and you can hardly tell it smoking at all. I may just end up gettin a new system.
i am sorry, but i still cant remember the name. it was Armor something, and they are in the USA. there are sevral sites in and around the UK, but it all depends on how much you want to spend. if you look at my panther, that is a mark 1 model. then theres Armortek, who are top of the range, but are also the most expensive. these tanks might seem expensive, but they are small tanks first, big models second. they are great fun, and they need to be seen to be believed.
As stated from RC ARMORY site:
Specifications:Specifications:
Price---$1,875.00
Length Overall----49.70 Inches
Length Hull-----35.50 Inches
Width-----18.50 Inches
Height-----14.875 Inches
Weight (Empty)----45 lbs
Weight (Complete)----65 lbs ITS STILL CRAP!! Buy at your own risk.

Why is the titel saying 1:8 King Tiger and the description is saying 1:6 King Tiger?
Very nice model, I would even believe it if you said it was 1:4 scale, but looking at your other vids I guess it's 1:8 ;)
