Steve, have you tested an LPG converted/factory installed variant? Been looking into LPG as a serious option for my mum, all we have to go on is word of mouth.
They're over engineered frankly, especially for the way most of them are used. Reliability would improve markedly if they just held back a bit. There was a story of how Audi was planning to upgrade their dampners to the standard of the ones used here, Herr Piech was not pleased by the failure of his team.
too bad the cars you tested at the off road driving school weren't equipped with proper 4x4 winter tires, as you could have gotten through that deep snow with ease. Would snow chains on the rear affect the 4x4 system, as the rear would have greater traction? Shouldn't you chain up all 4 wheels in those conditions? Great review as always Steve!!
Been Contemplating Getting This But With The New One Round The Corner Is There Really A Point

Um Yeah, I'll just pull $100,000 out of my pocket so I can get a terd rover. Just get a Forester for under $30Gs

@MrLarryHorse Trust me; a Forester won't go there.

Those thin walled tires are not good for snow and ice. Get a decent set of winter tires and the Rover would have not gotten stuck.
