All the Girl Group sounding stuff they did (eg, I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend), and some actual Girl Group covers they did, it makes me think that term "Power Pop" really applies to them before anyone else. i would say this is a classic teen pop 'love song', except played about 5 times as fast and w/ 10 times the intensity as the Beach Boys or Dion or Jan and Dean would have done it. the Ramones were really a popstar band with all the knobs turned to 11, and the juice pumped to blowing all fuses. i wonder who decided to label them as 'punk',

to me, they were a hardcore pop band pushed to the max. just watch 'rock and roll high school' and you can get that. RAMONES 4 EVER.

Those albums kill, but don't forget the early shit like the first 3 or 4 albums. And there are some great documentary films, too, if you look for them. Ramones played over 200 gigs a year! I use a 1977 Marshall 100w Super Lead full stack, just to get that sound. È LA COSA VERA!

Roma one trip, Milano and Venezia on another, also just travelling. i like it next to the Alps. i remember the most, besides the people and the beauty of the country and the food/wine and cool places in the cities, was that the SKY looked different. it has 'gold' in in it. i've never seen that anywhere else. does that make any sense? the sky does not look like that in the usa--it glows in italia, like gold
