@Antchovi its probably a little bit of the eq, but mostly all in the snare itself. its a heavy wood, thicker ply, deeper shell, and lower tuning. if you hit your snare hard enough you'll get that deep crack like he has. if you play too light, it will just sound like you're playing with brushes

This song takes on a whole new meaning when it's performed live. I was very fortunate that they played this song on the ATL leg of their farewell tour.
Bryan is such a tasty guitarist. This band is so great because they play together and for the music. I sense no egos nor anyone wanting to dominate. Copeland is a class act. This is the way it's supposed to be done.
@hanlonphotographic hmmmm, I could see that. Personally, I think that Keane isn't as intricate though. They're a lot poppier too with a more repetitious rhythm. Know what I mean?
i live in NORTH CAROLINA and it is sooo hard to find a band that actually wants to do this kinda music. its all southern rock or metal.... ugh.. im movin to florida. lol
dude i live in north carolina and me and my friends just have progressive jam session like this all the time, and then randomly cover copeland songs lol. if you live anywhere near greenville you should jam with us.
aaron cant harmonize with himself live. haha. the vocal harmony on "should you return" is all aaron, which is why the vocal sounds the way it does. it wouldnt sound the same if he harmonied with the other guys.
That mystery purple pedal after the memory man is a mxr tremelo in case anybody was wondering like i was.
