Why is it that Islamic propaganda likes to point out how much more advanced it was than Europe? To me it should be a source of shame to Islam. Given its HUGE head start how come it ceased to make any progress on the tremendous source of knowledge it had acquired from the advanced civilisations it conquered? How come the 'backward' Europeans grasped this knowledge and changed the world in a matter of 150 years while Islam had it for 1,400 years? The US even abolished slavery within 50 years.
Dealing 'justly' is NOT the same as treating 'fairly and equally'. A man may regard beating one wife to be 'just', it is entirely up to him. I would really like to see more documentaries that don't just idealise Islam in this way. Harems, according to this documentary were at the centre of political influence. Give me a break. Concubine is a euphemism for sex slave. This was the lot of hundreds of thousands of women and what happened to them when they grew old, or if their owner was a sadist?
