It's quite possible that I just missed something, but I don't really understand the target priority as a ranged dps when it comes to the big add and the small adds... I mean, do you only focus the small adds (obviously when they're close enough to the big add to do damage to him) or do you dps both the small adds and fill with dpsing the big add...?

@Tamteetleytoo Not exactly, but mostly. You want to bring the big add down to about 15% I think, then focus on kill bloods so the big add gains 9 stacks. He will then cast a spell that causes him to explode. However: If he has 9 stacks, he will also deal aoe damage. Therefore it is vital to kill him asap when he has all the stack.

@Mattiasbaldi123 you do one..at least my guild does...you kill 3 corruptions and barrell roll to get rid of the 3 big adds...then u kill the 4th corruptions and use that big add to build the stacks and explode (no barrell rolls needed)

@noneedforid We kill 3 aswell. They go down so fast and it will make sure you only have 1 corruption beaming and dotting you while u do the barrelroll. Both work, i know, killed 2 when we did the achievement aswell, so we would have 4 rolls, but imo killing 3 will reduce damage done to youre raid.

Never understood why you kill so many Corruption.

For example: you kill 3 at the start, do a barrel roll, kill the 4th to get a new add. Seems much easier to kill 2 Corruption, do a barrel roll and then kill a 3rd for an amalgamation.

Even after a plate is thrown off you wipe them all out forcing a respawn which can get tricky if it respawns in the back while you're working on the last plate.

Also we're rolling with just one tank but I guess that's just preference.

I'm using Grid and have setup indicators for the debuff. You can two heal the encounter but its much easier to three heal it and the DPS requirement on normal is pretty low, as long as you can do each tendon in one go rather than two. My grid very much looks like the old Blizzard raid frames yes. The newer ones in game are actually pretty decent now for showing buffs and debuffs. If you check our videos you should see a video named "4.2 Resto UI" that'll help you with grid.

i just want to say altho the tendons are the biggest priority, having a dps getting caught by a grip can cause your raid not kill the tendon in the given amount of time. it is important to break a dps out of the grip during the burn phase.

Just a tip for any guild that is struggling with healers' mana on this. What we did was we had me (Frost DK) killing the Bloods away from the Amalgamation and then when the Amalgamation was low HP we had the tank run around collecting the bloods. When the bloods die, they leave a fiery puddle on the ground and you should be able to absorb it with the Amalgamation.

To add, if you kill bloods (no matter where) they leave a little bit of fire on the spine, if you move the big add through this he'll stack up the debuff. On the last scale we nuked the add silly and then aoe'd the bloods a little too far from it and just moved the add through for insta-splosion.

Is keeping an extra Corruption up that much of an issue at the start that you have to kill all 3 Corruptions, rather than kill 2 Corruptions? Surely if you kill 2, force the barrel roll, then have the big add spawn from killing the 3rd, you would essentially save the dps time you spent on killing the 4th (only to have it spawn again)?
