Does the 2011 CRV come with an Adaptive Cruise Control which can automatically brake using the radar at the front or is it only a Normal Cruise Control?
I love my moms 08 CR-V But it is under powered and its small wheels and tire would be worthless off road, even with it's AWD. I work for Toyota and the late model RAV4 has an available 3.5L V6 and AWD that surpasses anything else in it's class both on road and off. If you don't believe me just look up the stats and compare.
@SUGAR54446 Definitely! Honda or Toyota (RAV4 for suv or any other model) & Hyundai (Tucson...) are very reliable. If you do yer research w/ C.R., you can see these makers have incredibly reliable stats down the line.
honda has this terrible trait of road noise in all of their cars. I own one and after u get past the new car happiness , it gets annoying at freeway speeds.
the ride is very uneteling and the egine sounds like a unrefined desil. The build quality is afuwl as well. Theres no doubt hondas paying u for this report tom
Theres no noise inside at all, we live under a flight path, and in the car is slient, and once i opened the door i noticed a plane flying over us, that i didnt even hear, and it was LOUD
Why do they keep saying underpowered on these reviews. I have one and it has more than enough power in the city, on hills and on the interstate. I have never had the gas pedal more than half way to the floor. Passing in the city or on the interstate is easy. I go from 50 to 80 in 4 seconds flat.
@flags6262 japanese cars are good for this i have a highlander with 120,000 on it its 04 and I honestly didnt realize it had so much cause it runs like new.
I'm getting a new car in about a month and I can't decide between this and the Pilot. Which is better for a more active lifestyle? (Element's too small and doesn't offer a moonroof..)
The CRV is one of the few, if not the only one in it's class that really hasn't grow much, and has stayed close to it's roots. For that I applaud it. The original RAV4 for instance was a direct competitor to this, but has grown up and out of class, like most toyotas actually. It seems like they create a new car below it's smallest one to fill a hole that was lost when the previous model grew!
OMG HUGE ANNOTATION

They killed this car for me when they don't offer a manual transmission in the new ones. Also, getting rid of the double wishbone suspension

they need to link it to the newer one. FYI

Would you recommend this for a high school student for when they get their license in summer 2012?

@LindazEyes I wouldn't buy a Hyundai. My mom has a 2006 Tucson and the Transmission went out at under 50k miles...

@vicsaggu Change the tires, ours had the cheapo continentals, we upgraded to Michelins and it cut the road noise down a lot.

I don't understand why most Honda don't have centre storage bin. The CRV is still an awkward looking vehicle and it is showing its age.
