Very interesting style.I don't know if I can accept many of there knife defenses though.I know that no one can or does use full resistance despite the constant preaching about it and I think relaxed cooperative training is good for development, but still. As in most MA training he hangs the blade out there.I think this is and has become the bane of MA training, not just here. Am I wrong/miss something? Still if I get out to TO I will take some classes.
It's not about negation of fear, stress and tension but how to confront and overcome them to become your partners in self-defense. By my humble opinion the system is much closer to genuine spirit of aikido and true budo than many of today shihans and other exponents of aikido turning it into a weird dance with poor self-defence application. Please, don't ruin the system in this way. This is awesome and most practical martial art i've ever seen.
From the Systema sites I've seen, the System's senior instructors are striving to maintain excellent (uncompromising?) quality with new instructors. I agree with pecinahira re: aikido / bujutsu / etc., and hope that they will be able to balance this with commercial viability in their schools. The more I've seen, the more I appreciate Systema's approach.

Love the feeling within the class. Great stuff. Two Keys:
1 Learn to control your breathing
2 Don't feel sorry for yourself
Words for life

Wow. Everytime I see Vlad work, something else comes out - amazing. You guys in Toronto are amazingly blessed to have Vlad in your town.
