  • LONG LIFE COWBOYS!! Country music is the only decent music today! I used to love black music like Kool and the Gang, also Soft Rock like America, but everything has changed, black music is now CRAP (sorry, I meant RAP), and rock is metal, hate and all that crap (not sorry this time, I mean CRAP).

There's no more lookin' for love. In all the wrong places. Lookin' for love in too many faces. Now that I found a friend and a lover.God bless the day I discovered you! I love u Hulk!

  • Pam is pretty.

  • This was the first song I ever sang in public. I would do it at karaoke joints. Back then I had a repertoire of one song. Eventually, I expanded my scope, got something of an act, and made singing a part of my life. I recommend this song as a good start for someone learning how to sing. It's simple and it swings. Take breaths at the right time and resonate the highs. You'll sound great!

  • born in 1959 here grew up in the 70's during the cowboy bar days my gosh i remember my old pickup my cowboy boots and hat the cold beers the slow dances with the lady u thought u loved lol man it was great wish today was like that because kids dont really know what they missed out on with the great times we spent it all went by so fast now in my 50's wishin i could have slowed it down a bit

  • @waynerjson I like all the musicians you listed, but, I have to disagree with your opinion about this soundtrack. Johnny Lee is classic and oh by the way the Charlie Daniels Band is not too shabby as well.

  • Just a classic movie and soundtrack! Travolta's best movie!

  • @urbancowboyNJ i wouldn't go that far..

  • DestroyerofSouls666 - like the comment you made about the garbage we are going through now a days. Life had its problems then, but people still had hope the future would be better. Today, the world feels like its going to hell. the sex offender did exist but today is sickning , people did not have to text message anybody because they spend time knowing each other today they have nothing to say to each other. no press 1 for English because back then we had real people answering our phones.

  • excellent video

  • destroyer of soul.

I decided to copy your coments in this youtube cause I could not agree with you more.

  • Every time I see Debra Winger now, I can't help but think about how emotionally unstable she was. Nearly EVERY person to have ever worked with her has a story about her erratic emotions (whether she NEVER talked or opened up to them or had a freak out on them). Most actresses who are innately natural and versatile tend to be close to that. At least the greats were

  • saw johnny lee and mickey gilley on stage in vegas soon after the movie

  • NUESTRA CANCION AMORRRR JAVIER MERAZ CONTRERAS TE EXTRAÑOOOOO MUCHOOOOO MI BEBE HERMOSOOO ESPERO Y LA ESCUCHESSSS AHORITA AMORRRRR TEEEEEEEE AMOOOOOO TEAMOOOOOOOOO TE AMOOOOOOOO ACUERDATE PSJ HERMOSOOOOOOOOOOO

  • One of the best two-steppin songs that ever was made. Thanks Johnny for all the great music you made back in the '80's, damn that was a long time ago. Real feel good country with alot of emotion from one of the lesser unknowns back then.

  • damn cuz lol

  • goddamn' it,,,, mc'donalds again!!

  • Love. That sissy character was so like my mom in the 80s, but my mom was a bit more wild. God those were good days, too bad there's no real honky tonks anymore.

  • ugh. I was born in '95, and I hate todays music (for the most part). I grew up listening to the music my parents grew up with, and thats why I love this.

  • could not have said it any better.

  • Jerry Hall made a brief cameo in this film.

  • Amazing song and kick ass movie. Urban Cowboy, my favorite movie of all time.

  • i was born in 73' this song is awsome but u know what we all make our happiness there are too many f**ked up people in this world you need to make it your own. Fk the gov we made them we can fix it VOTE...

    Texas Happy

  • i love this song since 31 years

  • Press 1 for English, what's wrong with Spanish which is the most common choice. Who, do you think taught the first settlers to rope cattle and live off the land, the Spanish, lol! I think, the problem is that people are doing a lot of listening and not enough of finding out for themselves. There are people, some Spanish speaking, not only holding it all together but working on their own to make things better, lone wolfs. Just because you don't see it on FOX, does not mean it's not happening.

  • love love love this song....reminds me of my husband

  • no offense to sissy but that other woman is soooooo much hotter!

  • I love this song! God bless TEXAS! God bless America!

  • Another timeless classic:-)

  • THIS IS A GENERIC VERSION...NOT THE ORIGINAL!!! BOOO!!!

  • @aceyacem this may be a generic version but i do think it's the version heard during the end credits of the movie. i actually like this version too but was hoping it woulda had the extended ending/cold fade.

  • Going to the Urban Cowboy reunion concert today !!! Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee-- and massive quanitys of ice cold beer !!!!

  • Great Song

  • I agree to disagree ... we did have terror threats, sex offenders, paedo's, and political correctness or political social unrest, it's just that no adays it is more EXPOSED via the media and internet more as a medium, and people report more these days they come forward because there are more understanding, in the old days so much was taboo but it didn't mean those bad things in society didn't exist like it does today..!! God Bless - love and light always :]

  • Pam is very attractive.

  • Pam:"who is that"?

    Bud:"my wife"!

    Lmao

  • @waynerjson...you are a visionary, are you Nostradamus reincarnated?

  • @waynerjson....fuckin right on man, well said!

  • This movie spawned a wave of pathetic, generic country music. Folks had the option of hearing Haggard, Jennings, Williams, Nelson and many greats, but they had this mediocre crap shoved down their throats on the radio.

  • This song reminds me of a man who once tried to pick me me up in a pub one night and pratically asking me to be stepmother to his two kids! He sure was looking for love in all the wrong places!

  • BEST MOVIE AND BEST SOUNDTRACK OF ALL TIME!!

  • 38 years old, hopeless romantic, single, broke, and still....

  • U two are soooo right.... I miss this kinda of country.....

  • SNL's Eddie Murphy (Buckwheat) would cover this song and name it "Wookin Pa Nub" LOL

  • No more looking 4 luv 4 me :-) at last ! Found my sole mate steve

  • @bettyboop59able1 STEVES MINE BITCH! ILL RIP YOUR HEAD OFF

  • Two people are looking for love in all the wrong places.

  • Come on guys.......what about the movie? It was awesome!

  • They don't make country like this anymore. Sure do miss the real country music.

  • 2 people have no taste when it comes to music.

  • i love this song.......

  • 2 people do NOT have ears!!!

  • I'm from Texas, this is this my favorite movie and song! When it's meant to be no matter what gets in the way, it will happen!!!

  • No more looking for luv found my 1st luv again

  • I wish to hell we had Country dance halls here in Maine like they do in Texas !! The music scene here in Bangor just plain SUCKS ! I had a taste of Good Country while I was in the military & I miss it somethin fierce !

  • lol i had this on tape back in the early 90's and loved it i only listened to two songs on the soundtrack this one and Devil went down to Georgia this was before cd players and i had it down to an art form where i could rewind and fast forward that tape and always know where it would be just by how long i had been holding the button.

  • @SavitarTheSurfingGod Heck that was back when radio's didn't have cd players they had record players or just the tape deck and radio god i miss those times we didn't sit in front of the tv all day mom would send us outside and we wouldn't show back up at the house until lunch which even without a watch we knew that was when you can't see your shadow and then go back out until it got dark how did i ever survive such an existence. Also there needs to be a sarcasm button on computers.

  • TEXAS bud TEXAS sissy
