I really never thought about it, but Marlena REALLY should have known not to go in the cage first without John. It's just not the way Steffy operates.
I missed these few episodes back '96. Finally, I got to see the dart in the neck! Ha ha ha, I remember my friend told me how annoying and frustrating it was, and now, almost 13 years later, I finally got to see for myself!! Yaaay, Youtube and generous Days fans!! :D

And no matter how many times I watch this clip, I can't get over what an utter pillock that woman is. Yes, do let's run into the cage. That's sure to end well.

Her telling John about Kristen would have been good, yes. The appalling dialogue I meant was John's line about everybody being there... even Kristen... despite the difficult pregnancy... It's the sort of dialogue soaps get mocked for, and it deserved a good tranquilising. Sorry, but it's true. :p
And if Marlena was that worried about John, she shouldn't have been so daft, should she. Shall I stay with the love of my life, or shall I go and lock myself into this cage? Hmm... ;)
Ah, I agree. I hated him tacking on Kristen, and making a point to bring in her bad pregnancy and how she wanted to save Marlena too. It was pretty glaring. BUT he was still darted just when Marlena was gonna tell him about Kristen. Such timing!
I still get the cage though. She just assumed John would be put in her bed where he belongs. :D
Honestly IF Marlena had told listened to Kristen in the previous clip, this wouldnt happened. She would have got Marlena to John. Period. She hadnt lost the baby then, and because Marlena was WRONG she wasnt working with Stefano really, she gave him the plane number months ago but Stefano was busted, am I wrong? I remember Kristen losing the baby, but it was way after this. Kristen wouldnt let John be hurt.
I like how John only gets tranquilized from the neck up at first. Nifty trick, Stefano.

Nice thinking. :D She should know better, though. John never gets the fancy, sumptuous jail cells. Just the very basic ones with optional bondage.
