If you really just sit and listen to him sing this song LIVE you'll see that he struggles throughout, especially on the bridge at 2:06-2:20. He bows out and comes back vocally flat and BOMBS the bridge. Seriously. He probably thought he could've nailed the bridge key on, but failed. I come from a musical family, so there have been times of where I've thought I could've hit a note and bowed out because it was either too high or I just wasn't getting the courage to really go for it full voice.

...what are you talking about? there was no "bombing" anywhere in this whole song, and I too consider my self a singer/musician, and come from a musical family. I'm sure it was tough for him getting up there but what guy can sing a C effortlessly?? He actually made it sound easy. You're crazy!
