Thank you so much for this video! I just got my singer yesterday and I wish I would've seen your video before I spent about two hours figuring out how to wind the bobbin, thread the machine, and thread the bobbin.
Mettler makes a great thread. Why do you call it "string" vs. "thread"? I worked for a designer in the city , maybe it's a New York thing, but we call it "thread".
@1jazmom That's interesting, I've never heard of Mettler, the only ones I know of are Coats and Clark and Gutermann... I know I probably should have called it thread but I was so used to saying string because I hear people call it string so much. lol. I didn't even realize that I called it string instead of thread until I posted up the video. The correct term is thread but I guess you know what I meant. lol
@Oliviasdesigns Mettler is awesome! It's cross-wound, and it doesn't leave anything fuzzy in your machine, and comes in tons of colors. Check them out. I know your machine will love it, especially if you ever get a Bernina, it's what they recommend.
@thelittlebluebird22 I've had that problem before too :( There are many things that may cause this problem to occur. Did you try changing the needle to a new one. It could also be that the top and bottom tension are uneven. Adjust the top and bottom tension so that they are even and then test it out on a piece of fabric.
It could also be that the thread you use isn't right for your sewing machine. What kind of sewing machine do you have? The best name brand threads to use are Gutermann or Coats and Clark. They slide though your machine easily and don't cause the machine to jam up. Also, don't thread your machine with the presser foot down. When the presser foot is up it eases the tension. Don't forget to clean your machine, especially around where you put the bobbin. I hope this helped :)

She said that you can put it in either hole

@Handlegrip Yes, the bobbin has two tiny holes/circles to put the thread through. You can put the thread through either one!
