'The dwarfs are already in town'....definitely some dwarf hating going on there, and not a subject we are very happy to discuss these days. Shame the game doesn't build on the the excellent first level (isometric scroller) but turns into an RPG. However I do agree about the music and colours adding up to an atmospheric game. I wonder how many games Chuck Norris appeared in. After Chuckie egg, and Bruce Leigh.

I never got that far in the game, only until the second township. And I never bothered with the passwords.

Unless an RPG has a save feature, it is not worth much bother.

Damn I never heard of this game ever but it looks pretty sick. Oldschool RPG's on nintendo were awesome and I am gonna have to try this game out sometime. Reminds me of a mix of The Adventure of Link, Castlevania, and Willow on NES. Willow was probably my favorite RPG on NES besides Final Fantasy 1 but it's difficulty level was way too hard for me when I was a kid.

Well done and yeah those level codes are ridiculous.

Faxanadu Is a really great game. I have it for the NES. But nothing pisses me off more in the game than getting pushed off the damn screen by damn monsters! Great review rob, loved it :)

Awesome game indeed, and the music is great for sure! Never knew anything was cut out from the Famicom version, not to surpricing I guess... Nintendo likes to do that it seems.
