That guy doesn't even mention coal power, our coal supplies are secure and could produce alot more energy than renewables ever will, and using new clean-coal technology the hippies can't complain to much, although im sure they will.
Can't speak for hippies, but a burning a tonne of coal produces a fixed amount of CO2. Carbon capture and storage requires energy to separate CO2 from flue gases, and to pump it into storage. More, smaller clean-coal stations in urban areas would use the low-grade heat and reduce transmission losses, but complicate fuel delivery and CCS. And the IEA says clean coal's EROEI is only 2.45, a third of conventional coal's score, and an order of magnitude less than most renewables achieve.
Erm, will all the people you deport sign an agreement not to emit any CO2? Or will you give immigration officers strict instructions to turn back all greenhouse gases at the borders? Will CO2 emitted by whites be exempt?
So your going to destroy what's left of our country side to build hundreds of wind turbines? I would much prefer to have nuclear plants and protect what's left of our country side.
I think wind turbines can be quite beautiful actually, looking at it would inspire me to think that the energy I was using is green and clean, it symbolizes purity and that some do care for the future.

Coal won't last forever. Some some forethought here. Renewable energy is the only way forwards for us.
