  • It looks as you have it too far from the focal point. The spot of light should be about 3 inches in diameter and the temp will be much more intense.

  • @ufguitar I never got a focal point that small as of yet. I believe that as you pointed out in your demo the focal point can be distorted by the shape of the parabolic.. I will try different distance from the SS and see if I can get more heat, as it is now I like it because I can walk away for about 10 min and come back to cooked food :-) if I have it that intense then I have to be right on it, but would make less cooking time. Thanks for your coments!

  • I would have like it better without eggs. Have stuck a probe on it to see what temp it got to? Compared to outside temp? Thanks Marty

  • @g11690102 If I understand what you are asking for is that I put in say 2 cups of water and then watch the temp rise over time on a clear day with a temp probe. FYI, the temp outside was 72 degrees, but in the video it comes with they show snow on he ground and it cooking up a large frying pan.

  • Hi Mart, OK,How long did them eggs take to cook lol.You are one dedicated individual.God Bless

  • @gmeatdaddy It took 30 min because of the clouds and my poor aim with the device. This baby really cooks well. It would only take 15 min if I had done it right. I also found the lense was dirty with dust! On a sunny clear day look out! :) Eggs were awesome yum :)
