I believe the R's want to rebuild a world where the aristocracy are allowed not only to believe themselves to be rightfully, intrinsically better, but where all the rest of us acknowledge the same and consequently recognize ourselves as deservedly inferior. They incessantly strive to widen the gap by manipulating white trash with bigotry and xenophobia. As transparent as they are, poor people vote for them all the time. It's perverse.
Wow, I used to think the Tax Foundation was a non-partisan organization. Hodge's lip service to Fox "News" and the GOP is evidence to the contrary.
What is also not said in this video is that with the exception of the poorest people, the wealthiest people got the largest tax cut while the middle classes had the lowest tax cut.
The day I see a so-called "conservative" president spend less than a left-wing liberal is the day I'll respect republicans again. Reagan tripled the national debt, Bush I doubled it, and Bush II doubled it again. How can republicans ever expect to be taken seriously when they spend like democrats?
