Yes, you can run it as a bluetooth device on a computer. It's great for Skype. There are some problems getting it to work on Linux thus far, but that's typical of bluetooth headsets on Linux (for now). I did the video by installing a modem in my computer and connecting it to the phone line, then I called in to the computer and pressed record. That's why it sounds "tinny"; it's over the phone line.
atisapa - thanks for the comments. The amazing thing was, only a week or two after this video was recorded, our exhaust system finally fell completely to the ground. It was time to retire the van, so we did. I *loved* my Previa, but I'm glad we were able to replace it with another Toyota (a '98 Sienna) - very close to the same van, just newer.

after ive seen this video.. i bought da first jawbone bluetooth they released not knowing that they have a new version of bluetooth... anyways.. im still going to buy the new one.. haha!! im gonna sell the first one on ebay.. anyone wants to buy it?? just message me..
Robbie, that's probably the best review I have ever seen. Your demonstration was incredible. Very innovative. I'm going to purchase the jawbone(2) based solely on this video. Thanks
I'm certain you'll love the Jawbone(2); they improved the fit, so you no longer have to "bend" it. I'm currently writing the review for the 2nd gen Jawbone; so keep an eye on the site for more info.
Thank you, GothicMaverick2. Glad you enjoyed the review. I really try to be "real" with my viewers; it's not propaganda, and it's not faked like some out there. What you see is what you get. Thanks for watching!
Haha! I'm careful! :) I've seen people using text-messaging while they drive; so I'm not nearly as bad as they come :) But ... uh, thanks for noticing? hehe.
Best review on the jawbone that I've found and this review is ancient now, lol. Worth the whole 10 minutes to watch.

Hi Robbie,
when you are in a loud environment, it's also difficult to hear the other end.
I actually wonder how loud the incoming voice is from the Jawbone?

I'm sorry for a double post, but I am stuck between the Jawbone devices and the Plantronics Voyager Pro.
Which do you recommend is better?
Also, specifically, which Jawbone model is better?

MSRP (the suggested retail price) is only $130. I bought mine for $90. It's not expensive, no.
