Secondly there is no democracy in many Islamic countries because America supports bad governments that preven democratic and economic development so that America can have control of their oil. President Eisenhower and the American security council admitted this. We make money off keeping oil rich countries instable. America is not a victim!

@newtype64 - Without oil, America & other developed nations would revert back to the late 19th century very quickly (not a lot of oil in reserve) which is why the US must keep the Saudis & other OPEC countries happy. Oil is vital to the US until an alternative energy source is developed. It isn't just about the economy but a way of life. Remember the 1973-74 oil embargo and its aftermath? The US wasn't in control then and isn't in control now.

America is oil hungry and it needs to drill its own oil. If it does not have oil then buy it fairly like all the others. America stole all 50 states from the natives and it still wants more more more.

@newtype64 - America buys billions of barrels of oil a year. I agree that America needs to drill but it has been blocked from doing so for political reasons. However, that would be a temporary fix at best since fossil fuels are limited. So, the US and the world need an alternative energy source. America purchased vast amounts of its current territory. The US did treat many natives horribly (I have Cherokee blood) but it was much more complicated than stealing.

Iran hates Israel because in 1948 the kicked thousands of Christian and Muslim Palestinians out of their homes that they lived in for generations. They did this to make rooom for Jews that came from Europe. This is still happening today. How can you kick people off their private property and not expectthem to get mad?

@newtype64 - Actually, Israel accepted the 1948 UN deal but the Arabs refused. When Israel declared itself a nation, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon attacked Israel. The Arabs were told to leave by these countries not Israel. There are over a million Arabs with Israeli citizenship. Muslim nations expelled Jews in 48 & Israel took them in. Extreme Muslims will never accept a Jewish state & use the "Palestinians" as a cause. Christians are still being forced to leave by Muslims not Jews.

You are right. Most Muslims will never except Israel including me. Even many Jews and Israelis know Israel is a secular statre born out of colonization nd politics. Where ever the Europeans go they are always starting somthing that makes the natives hate them. Europeans should stay in Europe unless they are invited to come to someone elses territory.

I think Muslims won't accept an Israeli state b/c the territory was once under Muslim rule.

@newtype64 how can the native jewish people, who lived in a country for 3000 yrs, can "colonise" their own land? if anything, muslim ocupation of the land in the 7th centuary was colonialism, and so were the work immgrants of the 19th centuary from arab countries, who started calling themselves "palestinians" in the 1970's, and took the flag off the jordanian flag (which was their flaf until then) to create a new "national" flag for themselves.

Obama is clueless about the evil he is up against and his actions this last week demonstrated this fact. I say "clueless" because I hate to believe he is "calculating" when referring to his actions which have made America look weak to other countries, as reported by multiple international press in how he has dealt once again with our reputation. Its all about geopolitics. The U.S. could care less if a regime is "evil." Egypt is the second largest recipient of US military aid and its also ruled by a pretty brutal, repressive dictatorship. Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Jordan, these are equally "evil" governments we fund daily.
