OK... So not as stupid as you think. Sasuke shows multiple signs that he has feelings for Sakura, but my guess is that he knows that the path chosen for him is too dangerous for Sakura to follow. Thus, he lets her go, his last words to her "Thank you". It means "Thank you for saving me". I've actually thought of putting up a video similar to this, explaining Sasuke's reasons to some other people (but mostly Sakura). Great job. I'm going to go cry my eyes out now.
