  • Hmm, actually Dieter looks kinda tall. . .

  • It's all in the camera angles, I tell you! Usually I shoot myself from slightly above, which I think makes me look short. This one was shot at a hotel where I had no tripod, so the camera is on the bed looking up at me. Voila - towering giant! :)

Despite what Brian says, I really really am 6 feet tall. He's not the first to be surprised that I'm not shorter though...

  • Very cool of you to post this for her! And you can SO be Lars' brother. LOL! Nicely done! Cool Tricorder, too. (Tricorder??) :)

  • It sure is a tricorder, Ann! One day Lars and Dieter will be reunited. Until then, the search continues...

  • Great video mike. you are a good friend to andrea.

Too bad we don't have tricorders in real life.

  • Thanks Ran...maybe someday...

  • Fun, i cant do it jim, im a doctor not god!!

  • Hahahaha! You got it.

  • OH a trekkie!! Umm why don't you use that to find Lars. Or is the a Medical TriCorder.

  • It's medical. Yay, I can't believe how many people recognized it!

  • MIKE! I LOVE you! You are my hero AND Dieter...I must say, I was so sore until I came downstairs to watch this video and somehow...I feel SO much better, what is that thing? ha ha!

  • Dieter's medical tricorder will make everything all better. Glad to hear you're back home and spry (just take it easy though...)

  • haha too cute. this was so sweet and thoughful of you!!

  • :) Thanks - I had to do something comedic to balance out the sap.

  • Cool! You have a Star Trek medical tricorder! Awesome!

  • And by using it, I have identified all of my fellow Star Trek geeks who watch my videos!

Sorry you didn't move forward in MomStars - I voted for you and was looking forward to seeing you compete in further rounds...

  • Yay!! A Mike and Dieter video! Thanks for the update on Andrea. Hope she's feeling better and able to come home soon!

  • I think it may have worked!

  • Did that thing have a laser on the end of it? I think I went blind.

  • I know why you went blind, and it had NOTHING to do with my tricorder... :)

  • What? How in the.....have you been peeking in my window again!?

  • I heard there was going to be brushing going on there...

  • This was so nice! And funny too- but what the hell is that thing? I think I'm suffering some side-effects now- does it say anything about explosive diahrea on the box?

  • yes, it's called a tricorder WOW! You should have read the back panel before watching...

It's a geeky Star Trek device.

  • sweet. :)

  • thanks!

  • That was awesome. I felt like I was being cured of something...not sure what, though...but it was working.

I'll go check out her channel. :)

  • Cured of any self-doubt about making more "Cultural Differences" videos? :)

  • LOL! Yes, I have many more topics to cover...I'm just too slow. More to come. :)

  • Very nice! I forgot to say that! :)

  • :) thanks!

  • Super nice :)

  • Wow, Dieter gets ten nerd points for owning a medical tricorder. And so I do I for instantly knowing what it is. How OLD is that thing?

  • I'm not sure - I found it on a pile of stuff my partner was going to donate away and said to myself "that will make a good prop someday..." :) Scifi geeks unite!

  • What sweeties you and Dieter both are! Andrea is sure to laugh and burst some stitches when she sees this but at least your healer thingie will patch her right up again. In your video, I loved how your head went round and round when the healer pointer thingie went round and round. LOL!

  • It was mesmerizing. My empty head acts as an amplification chamber for it. :)

  • This was soooo sweet of you.

And I can't believe how well you do a german accent. Geez. It's even better than mine lol

  • Yes...I could use some lessons. Yet another reason to obsessively watch your videos!

  • musosf your such a wonderfull human being. dieter as well :D

  • (not that I can set the world wide standard... just from my point of view...)

  • Hey Matthias - you're pretty wonderful yourself, the way you waged war on the front-page haters a few weeks back. Wave hello to the Hapsburgs for me, will you? :)

  • I usualy try to stay away from that folk but for you... :)

  • OK, then throw a rock through their teahouse window for me. :)

  • I don't care what anyone says about you. Dieter, you are a good person. Best of luck to your sister-in-law...

  • Dieter's reputation supercedes him. :) Thanks Mary!

  • that "beep beep" thing looks like a star trek thingy! Can that beeping make me a vanilla sundae, with strawberries , whipped cream and a cherry on top?

  • Star Trek is right! But my tricorder is for medical purposes only. Now I must search garage sales for both a transporter and a replicator. And a cure for my geekdom.

  • musosf: you can find the cure on ebay for $19.99 plus shipping .. I HAD to buy one for my brother! :op

  • That was so nice of you! Wishing Andrea a joyous speedy recovery! ;)

  • Thanks Lisa - I think it worked!

  • mike mike mike! I could walk for 5 sec there... my hero! :-D this is sweet I was wondering where you dissapeared to thanks for the lovely comments I just like to say youtube is so amazing...

  • Eef, I'd happily give you my tricorder if I thought it would help. But you're pretty darned great just as you are.

  • You're so great Mike! And that was so funny and awesome! Once again--you are an awesome guy....which doesn't surprise me by now!

  • Pfft! I am SO pulling the wool over all your eyes. Didn't you see my evil Arctic lair that skooterx foiled? I intend to dominate the world!

  • Mike, you are such a sweetheart! That was very thoughtful and cute! - I believe Brian's insanity may be catching..and you've hung out with him way too long now - if you get the urge to juggle sharp objects PLEASE seek some help!! Thanks again - this was so nice of you!

  • Hee hee - thanks Suz. I promise I will leave the knives to Brian. That is one cutlery drawer I intend to stay far, far away from...

  • Beam me up , Mike! omg

  • Gotta keep searching those garage sales for transporters now...

  • oohh i am hot for dieter now!

  • Don't tell him I told you, but you will be able to stalk him at SouthTube... :)

  • ...and people say You Tube isn't a community...

  • YouTube is what you make it, I think. Luckily I've met a number of people who make me feel welcome, appreciated and part of something positive.

  • DUDE! I'm not bald anymore! THANK YOU! WOHOO!!

Things went well. I pm'ed you and she's had the video camera the whole time, so I'm sure she'll put together a video about this. Thank you so much, Mike. : )

  • I wondered if that extra bit of Rogaine might have an effect. Can't wait to see your shaggy brown mane in your next vid. :)

  • Amazing, Dieter's Star Trek-style healing device cured me of my boredom. Thankyou so much!

  • Nice to know it has the power to heal multiple people at once. :)

  • Very sweet of you. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

  • She's doing pretty well, I hear!

  • I saw your video and Brian's video! You guys are great! Peace out! I hope Andrea gets ok fast!

  • Thanks Félix...I think your hopes have helped!

  • So sweet.

  • :) thanks!

  • aww.. I hope she is okay.. :)

  • The tricorder appears to have worked!

  • HeHe! what an excellent vid! Where can I get one of those things, Mongolia, Montana or Missouri you say? *packs bag and makes some sandwiches for the journey*

  • All I know is that it began with M. Manchester? That would be a shorter trip for you...

  • AAAH ~ Lars Buttercrotch and his beautiful bride Andrea. Show us more! And good luck to Andrea. ~ Moomay

  • I fear you'll be seeing more of Dieter before he sees Lars.

  • aww u rock and haha with the character

  • He just won't go away. :)

  • sweet video mike! and best wishes for a speedy recovery andrea.

  • Thanks Joe!

  • you're really a sweetheart, you know?

  • gawrsh. thanks todd.

  • That was sooooooo cool. That will cheer her up for sure. Why not beam out to see Lars? ;)

  • I haven't found a transporter yet. But I'm attending every garage sale I see, so hopefully soon...

  • Dude you see a transporter at a garage sale give me a call I'll chip in.I got a trek tech manual around here somewhere my friends gave me for christmas a few years back. I'll only need it on the weekends ;]

  • This is awesome, Mike!

  • You have me totally convinced on your character... really freaky. You put on the wig and you're not Mike anymore. WOW. Freakin' weirding me out!

  • I put on the wig and suddenly I become - a poor rip-off of Brian's character! :) So now you know who that blond guy is who peers in your window late at night.
