Did anyone know Judge Judy's contract is for 45 million for a season...I do have a friend that was approached through a letter sent to her address, if she would like to appear with her case on the show...Sueing an old boyfriend for a cell phone bill, seems to be a lot of those..She declined the offer even though it was widely know the producers pay for any ruling...The only real part of the show is that those on it, agree to appear and agree to the ruling...Hollywood justice...

I live in LA and have worked as an extra on different programs as part of studio audience. Extras are not necessarily actors. I've done this type of work just to make extra cash. Defendants who agree to go on her show know that they will get punched if they lie. All that is true, but the people are real.
The show looks at PUBLIC court records and then has wannabe low level "producers" send letters and make tellemarketing style calls to people to ask them to come on the show. It's really disorganized. I told Joe Ghetto Brown to fuck off and tod him he was not a judge and I walk out. The idiots tried to stop me! Also, that moron told me to "get out of his court room" after I already walked halfway to the door. There is much more, but you get the idea.

Defendants who agree to go on her show know that they will get punched if they lie. JJ is a smart woman who can spot a liar easily, but she is a disgrace to her inherent judicial system when she rakes-in 30 million a year to call people "pigs" and "idiots." Though she's usually right, she's actually a disgusting woman...and therein lies the paradox. I love her ability to spot liars, but despise her truly evil theatrics. She's got bad karma written all over her...even though she is savvy.

Yeah the original People's Court may have been different in it's ethics, but then again, how many other courtroom shows were on TV competing with it at the time?? Now that there are 5-6 on within a 2-3 hour block in the afternoon(I'm guessing), they all have to step up the shock value to get attention.

Wow what a revelation!!! I really really thought that this was a real court room and not a TV SHOW SET!!!! I personally cannot believe that people take anything on TV seriously, even a Courtroom Show.

I did a Wikopedia search of her show and learned that her producers pay the fines, not the guilty party.
I heard her tell a chubby teenager he looks like he never missed a meal. If that went on in real court the judge could be hauled before the State Supreme Court.
Justice isn't blind in JJ's courth room, it's a performance.
She whould be ashamed of herself, if she wasn't so self important.

"Judge" Judy is a disgrace to the bench and the legal system and all attorneys and thoughtful people know it. She does not represent the rule of law in our society. She is a clown, a disgrace, and a shameless self promoter, even at the expense of justice as a Judge. She is a caricature in real life, of herself. She should be disbarred.

I am only stating MY experience of the behind the scenes FRAUD etc., that I witnessed. I am informing those unsuspecting souls (innocent people) who may appear. Judy through unprovoked EVIL may attack you and makes her money by going after both the "innocent" & guilty as in (deserved or not) for financial Ill-gotten gains.
