Anybody here knows a nice combat simulator game for the PC? Cause i can only find them with spitfire and other WW2 planes and i would love to have one with propper jets like the F-15.

ik ben zelf afgewezen tijdens de GVSS test, ookwel de flight simulator test genoemt.

Qua tips euuh speel vooral geen flight sim games, want dat werkt juist averechts. Voorafgaant aan de GVSS test krijg je een boekje waar je een toets over krijgt. LEER dat boekje binnenstebuiten. Doe de checks tijdens de simulator preceis zoals in het boekje, dat maakt het een stuk makkelijker.

Je kunt je niet echt voorbereiden op de tests, behalve dat boekje. het moet gewoon in je zitten.succes

nog een tip: zorg ervoor dat je een back-up plan hebt. Heel veel mensen halen het niet door hun strenge eisen. Als je net als ik eigenlijk alleen vlieger wil worden, dan heb je een probleem omdat je dan net als ik nu niet goed weet wat je anders wil.|( ik loop nu een paar jaar dingen te proberen, maar ik heb telkens zoiets van mwah) Mijn advies: staar je niet blind op alleen vliegenier en kijk ook naar andere opties

USAF, it's an older game by Jane's Combat Simulations, but if you can get it to run it's really a great game, these gung ho games where you can just blow 100 planes out of the sky are sometimes a bit much

Freedom of speech is only do to hundreds of people dying in fighting for thier voices to be heard. In Iraq before we started deploying, if you lived there and wanted to speech your mind and wasn't friends of some friend in the Al-Qaeda. the f15 and f16 are becoming unsupportable, as are the f18 and f14. the new fighters like the f22 and f35 will be needed to replace the aging fleet. the f22 is an interim replacement, as it is the desire of the dod to be able to use one air frame for all roles. the last time that happened was with the f4, and that was actually more limited.

As i said, the DOD has been trying since vietnam to develop an air frame that would be acceptable in attack, ground support, air superiority, and carrier attack capabilities. the f22 was developed as an interim air frame until the development of the Advanced Tactical Fighter program, which has generated the F35. It has never been the DOD's desire to field the F22 for a long term. they want something that can be logistically supported by all service components.

they want best of the best so 4.0 minimum that you could skate by with is a 3.5 plus you have to graduate through either af acadamy or some other college with air force programs like rotc but just to let you know your vision has to be 20/70 correctable or better and about 300 people apply to fly just one plane so its very cutthroat

A key reliability requirement for the F-22A is a 3-hour mean time between maintenance, but right now its LESS than 1 hour! The F22 is junk, its very unreliable!

The one major thing that is really flawed with the F-22 design is the fact that its stealth capability only works when it is in the Air Defence role because its internal fuel capacity in enough for operating near friendly bases. But if it needed to operate offensively in the Air-to-Air role it will need external fuel tanks, thus losings its Stealth Capability.

its basically condenced air taking the shape of the shockwave surrounding the jet as it approaches (or exceeds) super-sonic speeds. the air condences around the wings and becomes water vapor. kind of lke a con-trail you can see behind jets on cirten days.

its a vapor cone that surrounds the jet indicating that is approaching the speed of sound. its basicaly a visible shockwave.

It does not always mean it is near the speed of sound...it all depends of where pressure is exerted onto the air surface and how much moisture is in the air. It can happen at any speed
