  • yes its real!

  • I spotted it

  • Guys... Postcard is still alive.. in facebook and msn messenger

  • It's a fake, dimwit.

  • @iniche according to snopes it isnt

  • @melovebirds Wow, you're being stupid. First of all, there's no such thing as a virus that "burns" the whole hard disc. I know you mean metaphorically, but even then, no such virus exists. Just the idea of an ENTIRE HARD DRIVE being wiped out is sheer stupidity and shows how much computer knowledge the person who made the warning lacks. BTW, making and encouraging chain mail/video is another form of spam. So you're not helping the cause; you're part of the problem.

  • @melovebirds Shutting down the computer does jack shit. That's stupid advice. There's no need to do so if you didn't open the mail. If you did, tough shit: shutting down the computer doesn't prevent the virus from attacking. And that whole BS about CNN and the Microsoft nonsense? Where's the proof? Funny how you tell me snopes confirmed it... yet snopes PROVED IT FALSE. "Zero sector".... yeah man, for sure. Let the morons get worried over nothing. This is copy-paste of a stupid chain mail.

  • @melovebirds Oh yeah? Prove it. Where's the link to snopes about this?

  • @iniche it's not fake i got the samme email about the virus and it 2011 it is real and not a joke

  • @freerealmsgal No, you're just being retarded. Just because you got an email about the same thing shown in this video, it makes the virus real? RIght. I guess the idea of spreading rumors doesn't exist?

  • @iniche omg! i'm SO srry... well it is true i'm not trying to scare people sry

  • this virus is coming back around, and with more impact, its a holiday card over the next two weeks, heard about it on CNN

  • i this still around?

  • @gipro1 uhh I doubt it.

  • @melovebirds yes, it is. the stupid fag made another one

  • and its a trick

  • its some stupid person who made that virus i know anyway check your msn or whatever then if u have it turn the pc laptop off

  • you really copied the info on the mail including the "hard disc" spelling which should be "hard disk."

  • yeah, lol im lazy

  • seriously people can make this virus to threat the world?fucking retarted ive never seen such a ilm showing this kind of situation without the roots of it getting fuck up in the end..i will volunteer to slice his face down..and one more thing i thin this issue has been exagerated,,no such programing can burn the disc .i.e if i swear at somebody he wouldnt burn..thats how i get it..its like the virus sending a code or a word to the disk and will burn wtf! lol..i dont think so.

  • what happens if i name my disk ":C" to "bais:" wil it still del c??

  • ..Yes? haha, I really don't know. But, yeah I'm pretty sure it will still delete the file, no matter what name it has

  • It's real. I just heard about it.

It will destroy your hardisk, and your comuter will crash.

    Seriously...

  • omgf!!!! i get macafee and f security so... this virus are REAL!!! you cant try delete this virus!!!!... what security finded this virus? this are a really sad.. why stupid people make viruses?? THIS ARE SO STUPID! why viruses makers..why!! stop this stupid acttacking!!

ok... tell aal your friends this virus or world are get broplem!!! i promise!

  • it is true i got it by an email but watch out the new name is osama bin ladin from the email i saw so any email from anoyone unnowed delete imidatly

  • 2 words "boot" "disk" :D also this is complete bullshit thats being copy pasted and spammed around cnn and microsoft both say CONFIKER (april fools virus) was the most destructive virus

  • its gone so dont worry, it was sent on internet by a 24 year old chinese guy who is now arrested for it, nearly every computer caught it but we are lucky we didnt

  • yeah, i got a email warning me about this what i would is not shut it down cuz it will still be there when you turn it back on you should just right click it and then select delete

  • 'Postcard' or 'Postcard from Hallmark' Virus Hoax

SUMMARY: False email alert warns of 'the worst virus ever' circulating in the form of an attachment labeled 'POSTCARD' or 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK.'

    Description: Email hoax

Circulating since: Feb. 2008 (this version)

Status: False, although real e-card viruses resembling this do exist

  • This is incredible. If you take a look at the link presented in the very end of this video you will find some useful information. Amongst other things you'll find that the page states even though the postcard virus is real it ISN'T the big virus coming. It DOES NOT burn your whole disc and CNN did NOT classify it as the worst virus ever.

Who are we to argue with the info presented to us through this video...? Hehehe

  • haha oops ;) sorry

  • its a fake! dont believe this. Norton Anti-virus says its a Hoax! så dont trust this shit. and to the video poster: i would recomend that you remove this video becouse its simply idiotic to post false Virus warnings.

  • im not posting this just to be fool people. why would I waste my time doing that? this isn't an opinionated matter. its real, and its happened to real people with real computers

  • yea i bet that real people get Viruses on their real computers but this is a Hoax! how many have not recieved a e-mail warning about this so called virus? and has any of them acctually got the virus?

Google POSTCARD VIRUS and you will see what i mean,, thousands of websites says its a fake... but a youtube video confirmes its a real one?... get your facts right before posting anything like this. There is no need to scare people with this.. its been going around for ever...

  • im not fucking scaring people, you idiot loser, i was just imforming them of a virus i believe to be real. learn correct grammar before you go on the internet, because "thousands of websites SAYS its a fake", "A email", "but", and "for ever" are all used incorrectly in your speech. So before you go and tell me im being dumb, check your self first. You sound like someone with mental retardation. You should just go away and tell that to some one who cares.

  • **informing

    **yourself

    **someone

  • obviously you can not defend your statements in this video, so you have to start picking on my english skills. and i am very impressed by your fine english. but i don't realy give a shit! im not from england or america. i dont speak english as my native language. anyhow, you seem to be understanding what im saying, i recomend that you take it down. And thats all im leaving you with. btw, you cursing and calling me a idiot loser with a mental retardation realy make this video trustworthy.

  • that las6t "sentence" of yours was incomprehendable. and i didnt even MAKe this, i merely got it in an email, and thought that i should imform thet people of youtube. so why is it that you are getting so mad at me? IDK. im just trying to hlp people, so go take your bull shit somewhere else

  • wow ill talk to you l8tr when your C: drive is missing head:0 cyl:0 XD(unusable without it)

  • why would he lie you freak ! its true ! i got an official email from microsoft about it !! and my friend had it !!

  • lol, thx for the backup..but ima girl lol

  • Comment removed

  • oooo should i afraid now??? MOOOOM where are you?? :'(

  • it tears ur system to bits shut down ur computer/laptop/pc if u try delete it the virus will get into your system IT WILL FUCK YOUR SYSTEM UP!

  • when you try to reboot it it sends 0's to ur hardrive which stores your vital info to keep the computer work so its unusable forever clicking on it costs you a new laptop.

  • i have tips.....to all of you...how to prevent virus coming.......JUST KEEP YOUR ANTI VIRUS UPDATED............problem free!!!easy !!

  • its a hoax virus. its just spam. it circulates in emails. just delete it.

  • GUYS THIS IS VERY REAL!!! LISTEN 2 THESE WARNINGS. If you prefer your computer broken then you have nothing to worry about!

  • My Friend which is a girl i tryed to stop her to not open it then 4gb ram computer wasted

  • why should it matter that ur friend's a girl??? and it should read "My friend WHO is a girl...".

  • lol omfg dick heads its real rofl lol

  • if u dont believe in the postcard virus your a dumass!!

  • The email is a hoax. It's the same as the Invitation virus and the Olympic Torch virus. The Postcard Virus is actually called the Storm Worm also called Win32:SQLStorm@UXP[WRM] by avast. What it does is hijacks your PC and creates spam emails through your email address. It doesn't actually burns your hard drive completely and erases all the dll files to make your PC useless.

  • your a friggin dumbass it is not a hoax it is a real virus if it was a hoax why would it be on cnn????

  • People are saying that this video is a hoax. The virus IS REAL, but the description is different. Look, the video creator even put a link there (though I wonder if they read it)~ >__> The description is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Read the NOTE that is RIGHT THERE in the link posted on the creator's comment: "Readers should take particular care not to confuse the real postcard virus with a number of virus-related hoaxes that have been circulating for several years."

  • was it on cnn???! i dont recall seeing it. dont believe everything u read.

  • Yep that happened to my Yahoo email, though I'm not sure if it was caused by this worm~ ^^ My mom used it and opened spam. LOL. Then people began reporting my email address for sending spam...

  • this is not fuking bullshit its real

  • BS.

  • pure ignorance, you are a true dumbass.

  • i will suport this vid this is no joke urban legend or what ever u would like to call it my friend just got a $8000 alienware topnotch computer and he got that same thing(post card email and he opened it) and his whole comp is now sitting in his garbage. but he had a full warenty so he isnt that sad.

  • how long have people known about this postcard virus?

  • This is a 'virus hoax'.For anyone who will watch this video, check more reliable sources first because this urban legend has been going around even on the TV.I've checked all the resources that I can and they say the same thing:this 'postcard virus' is a hoax, meaning it's not real and the credits like CNN are usually cut to show only specific parts of their show that is otherwise about a completely different thing. The link that the video maker gave is a different virus but has the same name.

  • it's no urban legend, my friend's computer crashed right in front of my eyes when i was trying to stop her from opening that friggin email! $300 to waste... what a shame :(

  • LMAO!!

  • i agree

  • =___= Even if what it says is true, just replace the hard drive or the motherboard, since that's all it claims to crash, ne?

  • The computer would reject the new hard drive! That's the catch. It's a pretty damn foolproof virus, if you ask me.

  • >___O Why would the computer reject the new hard drive? All kinds of software are written on HARD DRIVES, not on the motherbooard. If you pull out the old hard drive, you pull out the 'virus' as well as anything else saved in it. The only reason that a computer would reject a hard drive is if your have the wrong installer/incompatible or if the hard drive is a fake/damaged.

  • Listen, I'm no computer wiz, but all I know is this: there was some weird virus that got downloaded to the computer, and it, or perhaps something else, fried pretty much all of the computer. I dunno what happened there, but the computer definitely caught a bad virus, and that virus DEFINITELY did some damage to the computer. Just sayin :P

  • ha ha ha!!!

  • No, you can't. It's the C disc hard drive, it won't be able to, even if you fiddle with the motherboard.

  • I got the EXACT same msg in the video via Email...Is this a JOKE?

  • Idk why these people are spamming your vid, but thanks for putting this up. I knew about it through Yahoo! Answers, but this was useful anyway. Thanks again. Have a nice day.

  • WUT IS ON THE POST CARD??????

  • a virus...

  • Nation of dumb asses. This is an urban legend!

  • ur face is an urban legend!

  • is it true that u have nothing better to do than spam my videos? fuck off

  • haha ooo told

  • it is an urban legend, sweetie... better check your resources

  • it is most definitely not an urban legend

  • lol

  • This virus is from last year.. ._.

  • well, on snopes it sed that it came out recently xD
