yeah the old Lowestoft badge!!! It was great when the factory was open because all the employee's used to have London Red paint on the front gates. :)
Fantastic! I want to go to the MTT running day one year, always am busy doing other things unfortunately, should really try and make the effort, I wonder if it will be at Wirral tram show?
In 1994 when I used to travel on Nationals to and from school, the drivers would have the doors open all the time in the summer and did so many years before without any problems.
When I became a bus driver in 2001, firstly, doors had to be closed when on the move. Then we had to drive with dipped headlights on all the time. Then the company issued us all with hi-viz vests that we had to wear all the time when in the depot. This health and safety business really pisses me off. No need for it.
Yes I know, well I wasn't near the doors I had zoom on and was standing back, standing? Hang on the HSE would have something to complain about that too, I know exactly whaer your coming from, its mad!
it's crazy these days about health and safety supposes if it was a bus in preservation and not in prper service then the doors being open doesn't really matter

I had the pleasure to ride on her at the MTT running day on Sept 20th. She's a great machine.

It's usually towards the end of September every year. You should go to the next one as it's a good day out, soaking up the nostalgia.
