If she had not grabbed the wheel all 47 of those kids would have died for sure. If they had gone off the road a little bit back they would have crashed in a BIG ditch and if they had gone off a little up the road they would have crashed in the lava beds. She wasnt even supposed to ride that bus but she said she wasnt going to leave her kids alone. It is a tragic thing and she was always a person to joke and laugh AF will miss her sorely and will always remember her.

One thing has always bothered me. Why do we trust the old, weak, and frail with our youth? My bus driver in high school looked like she was made of dust.

You know it's not only respect that needs to be shown here it's compassion. I'm in the Orem high Marching band and i know what they must be going through... i KNOW those people... the instructors for the bands aren't more than 20 years old and she GAVE HER LIFE to the people she loved... she's a hero.. they sang hymns so that they didn't go crazy with grief... because they have FAITH THINGS WILL GET BETTER... these kids are the best... that teacher was one of the best... they deserve our respect
