  • thanks to beowulf i love cloudy days :D

  • Beowulf and 300- The most EPIC films to date.

  • @Noremorse10

Never mind that fucker. I feel your pain, although I didn't passed the same thing. You deserve some good things in your life, and you will get then, from now on. Just remember that. And your son is sure to be at the side of great legends such as Beowulf, watching over us. :)

  • @indianadylan that is because you find George Lucas the pinnacle of all things in cinema... now,I'm sorry to be so blunt, but that's just sad...

  • @blackhoundrise WHAT THE FUCK ?

  • THE HERCULES AND SAMSON!!!

Hercules: welcome! tonight on this hallowed antiquity -

Samson: - the gods graced us with Beowulf and King Leonidas!

    audience: cheer and applause!

Beowulf: (walking on stage) Bah!!! Conan's show got more testicle than this gay debacle, you muscle heads!

Leonidas: (offstage in changing room) That Beowulf got all kinds of lube. Anal Lube, Pussy Lube... shit! Blowjob lube! how big is his dick??!!

Samson: (embarassed) Um... we'll right back after the commercial (gulp)

  • The reason Beowulf is so depressed is because he watched the age of heroes wither away and be replaced with something else. Imagine being a child and growing up with all of these heroes and monster slayers. People gathering together to fight dragons etc etc...now in his old age he sees men only fighting each other. To bare witness to the death of everything he has held dear in his life; strength, honor, brotherhood etc, and have it replaced with petty squabbles over pieces of land and religion.

  • What an epic Forever Alone moment.

  • wow "he has a story to tell"

  • Beowulf reminds me of Kanye West. He thinks everyone should talk about him.

  • I know how Beowulf feels. Several years ago I was drunk behind the wheel and wrecked my vehicle. It cost me my son's life.

  • @Noremorse10 You know nothing how he feels. how can you possibly relate your drinking problems to the once Great Might of the Scandinavian Empire?

  • @Naafalilargus It's a fucking movie you twit.

  • @Noremorse10 Yes, so? beowulf still explained how the scandinavian warriors and heroes of old passed/dissapeared because of the 'christ god'. did you not pay attention? and theres no need to call people names on the internet, it will only make you look dumber.

  • Beautiful.

  • Beowulf, the original Dragonborn.

  • Imagine beowulf and chuck norris

  • Beowulf and Leonidas should have their own talk show.

  • It takes BALLS OF STEEL to do what Beowulf did.

  • Beowulf is the badass hero in epic poen history....Hercules, Achilles they all suck!

  • Why ray winstone have not a oscar ?!

  • i love how this reminds everyone of skyrim even though it was out 4 years before hand lol. i want someone to put the skyrim music in the background to the dragon fight at the end lol

  • "We men are the monsters now. The time of heroes is dead, (Name). The Christ god has killed it, leaving human kind with nothing but weeping martyrs, fear.....shame."

    Too true, Beowulf. Too true.

  • "OR WHAT!?! KILL ME! WELL KILL ME! DO IT! KILL ME! KILL ME! FUS RO DAH!!!!!"

  • I like the other beowulf movie better judging by this scene

  • @Yetze There's another one?

  • @Yetze Which one?

  • @godofimagination

Not sure but it's about a gaint named Grendel or something.

  • My God this is so beautiful..

  • Yeah when I play Skyrim I pretend to be a Frisian raider, for the heck of it. The Frisian Dragon Slayer! Sounds epic to me.

  • The horses need to be shaggier...I've visited Denmark and the horses there have thick, long fur. The cows there do too. Obviously the filmmakers did not do enough research.

  • @plumeria66 when you visited denmark did you also see trolls and water demons its a movie get over it

  • Anyone wondering why the Nordic armor looks suspiciously greek?

  • Beowulf a true hero. But today there are no heroes left. Only betrayers and honorless dogs

  • @Grubi1990 That's the moral of the story

  • Dat Christ God. -_-

  • never ever make beowulf a coward in your life!:)

  • Chuck Norris is Beowulf's father.

  • @1dangerouskarateka i'd say beowulf is father of all chuck norrises

  • Jag är Beowulf

  • this is a chest of a true killer!

  • "he has a story to tell"

Guy: so then i got their and the king challenged me right there no weapon and no armor then i chickened out like a pussy because i knew he'd kick my ass then he payed for my trip home and i cried all the way home on the boat and here i am.

  • As it looks: Beowulf = Imperial , Finn = Stormcloak

  • @kcikdubb but he hates being imperial as it seems.

  • I am Haggis of Frisia!!!!!

Fryslân boppe, de rest yn'e groppe!

  • a Skyrim Movie like this

  • why everytime someone try's to fight beowulf he start to take his clothe's off.....

  • @PhilipeKlemm Beowulf has a moral obligation to strip whenever he is directly challenged.

  • I find it one of the most epic movies..

  • Fin of Frisia, may his name be remembered forevah!

  • I recently obtained a translated copy of the original text, and I feel quite disappointed that they adapted largely the point of Grendels mother, I feel it was mostly to make the film more generic or mainstream, obviously I don't know what the writer of the story thought he was doing.

  • "We men are monsters now. The times of heros is over, the Christ god had killed them"

  • still the greatest hero ever, wonder why Nord mythology and stories are far more intresting than any other shit, unless we talk about Greek mythology wich is cool too

  • I cry for this scene over many others scenes, It shows that humanity will not be able to defeat the enemies it has: the religion, the wras, the greed.

  • Beowulf and 300 best ever

  • Maybe the greatest thing of this interpretation: you can see the wisdom and weariness of old beowulf as opposite to his impulsiveness and passion of youth.

  • 2:48 to 3:10 best part ever

  • I died many many years ago, when I was young...Best line ever

  • LOL the Friezen actually won the battles against the Danish tribes.

  • @MrGoldenGothic Beowulf wasnt Danish, He was a Geat, They lived in what is now sweeden

  • @yosaputa and he also became king of the geats if I remember correctly

  • @yosaputa As I understood it he was a Geat, but came to the Danes to defeat that monster, and afterwards he became regent of that city.

  • what did he ment that he died a long time ago when was young?????

  • @hailtheswastika1996 because he slept with the demon mother then lied about it...

  • BEOWULF SHOULD BE IN SPARTACUS SHIT DAAAAAMN!!!

  • i think i would have poop my pants havin a monster slayer walking to me like that

    badass

  • i love this movie and this i probably my fav part

  • i love it.

  • and fin was forever remembered as a bitch-ass

  • It's going to be a short song. ROFLMAO

  • So Beowulf is already dead?

    Omae wa mo Shindeiru.

  • @NeoGamemaster Thank you. Now all I can picture is Beowulf attacking monsters and going ATATAATATATATATATATATATATATATAAA!

  • :'l

  • why this guy always get naked when he's about to fight!!!!!

  • @BRAVOHN1 It's the only way to fight lol

  • @itsbankaibitch ima start to fight like that and saying lines too just the way he be saying!!! lol

  • powerful

  • This scene is so emotional I love it gives me chills everytime!

  • Anyone else notice the invader stands up twice? Beowulf says "let him up" and he stands at 1:23... then he... is somehow back on the ground and stands again at 1:37...

  • @Piranha722 At 1:23, the raider is on his knees, and he stands up at 1:37. Watch closely.

  • @IProHeRox You're right. I actually watched the movie again last night and caught it for myself... thought about going back to delete this post... but my stupidity cannot be reversed now... lol

  • @Piranha722 I dont see that - at 1:23 they let him go and he sits, and reclines on his knees, at 1:37 i finally stands up eith the help of his ax. Nothing wrong here :)

  • @mensch454 It has to alot of ppl, but there are Christians out there who arent like that, they even question they Chruch and whatnot. And they dont go around screaming "Do/Dont do that and you'll burn in hell!!!1!" :P

  • I feel sorry for the frisian

  • Three reasons to watch this movie

    1. Angelina Jolie

    2. Anthony Hopkins

    3. This scene

  • I only saw the movie because anjelina jolie was naked in it

  • @hybridrage1 One of several good reasons to watch it! :D

  • I really, really hate people who don't give this movie a chance and just piss-and-moan over how it's not exactly like the book to the letter. Ugh.

  • So, greatest "come at me bro" moment ever?

Greatest "come at me bro" moment ever.

  • Beowulf even exist? or is jus a story

  • @dNdz0R1 Beowulf is a literary epic (type of poem), it is but a tale that was told in the oral tradition and upon it finally being written down it marked the beginning of English literature. However, this scene does not take place in the book, aka creative liscense for movies. Though don't doubt for a second that Beowulf is a badass. Because he is the biggest badass EVAR! Hes the equivalent of, if not greater than, today's The Most IIntresting Man in the World from the Dos Equis Commercial . :D

  • @Narutofanatic15 actually , in this scene he actually looks like a white, pissed off medieval viking version of the dos equis guy.

  • Suddenly, I have an urge to play Skyrim. 8|

  • so by the time he's king has christianity spread there

  • so sad but cool

  • He has story to tell... Best line ever

  • You don't want to mess around Beowulf's Mailbox.

  • that.....was.......GANGTA!!!

  • I loved this movie idc what people say.

  • @Cooperblu What do people say? I adore this movie! xD So many good Kinnings and metaphors :3

  • The peasant looks like someone out of Shrek.

  • I got goosebumps at the end.

  • this is the best part in the movie in my opinion

I like Beowulf words ... it so wise and meaningful

  • I know this movie gets alot of hate, but i absolutely love the third act...

  • @Porly62 why does it get a lot of hate? it was awesome and epic

  • most epic speech ever

  • chuck norris is a hairy old sasquatch who got his ass handed to him by bruce lee in way of the dragon lol yanks seem to think he's god go figure!

  • @kellds47 no he says BAWSS!!! lol!!!

  • @johb3 thanks, well I am Irish and so I research a lot of celtic history and therefore finding the vikings and geats as races that the celts went to war against. And knowing that the word norse is used to refer to scandinavian/germanic races in the north, particularly describing the mythology, from which geatish myth differs. Now I may be wrong, as the geats and frisians (frisian seen here ^) were kind of, and I use the word loosely, "cousins" of the people of the north.

  • @johb3 Geatish: "a race of people of southern Sweden to which the legendary hero Beowulf belonged, the geats were also known for their fierce battles with the norse people over territory."

  • @DanIrish409

Perhaps you are right, but I think the word Norse is more often used to refer to entire Scandinavia and I have not heard it used in particular about Norwegian vikings very often. For example, the viking languages of the entire region belong to "Old norse" and the mythology of Odin, Thor etc. is characterized as "Norse mythology". Anyway, good to see that you are interested in Scandinavian history, keep it up.

  • @johb3 I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because people often mistake that, but it is not true at all. The norse are from norway, the geatish tribes were from remote places in sweden, and actually had a lot of wars with the norse vikings. Their blood is different, their culture is different, and their features are different. Therefore, the geats are their own sub-category. Unless it can be proven otherwise.

  • @DanIrish409

Norse: "of or relating to medieval Norway or Scandinavia, or their inhabitants or language"

  • 0:52 I Love how he stop and turn back

  • @malingmann Geatish not Norse

  • @DanIrish409 Geatish is a sub-category of Norse

  • He is like the Norse Chuck Norris!

  • *sigh* "my lord the king must no engage in direct battle"

Beowulf: look like i give a shit?

  • The words of Beowulf is mightier than a double-sided axe....

  • he has a story to tell.....

  • beowulf + sparta = bigger than chuck norris (and I still think wiglaf is the best kinda friend one should have)

  • damn, IF ONLY our leaders were the half of what Beowulf was...yeah it's mith, so what?!

  • <3 sankhara, been looking for this one scene for forever and a half.

  • The way he tosses the axe to the side is like mmmmmBoss!

  • This version was better than "Beowulf and Grendel", although that one was still good, not to mention the good soundtrack from that movie too.

But this one´s the best and the soundtrack is awesome :)

  • he was my hero from wen i was 3 years old

  • Chernov: This is not war, this is murder!

    Beowulf: No.. this is slaugther

    Leonidas: THIS IS SPARTA!

  • IS THE CLOSEST MOVIE OF ALL TIMES? NO MOVIE LIKE IT

  • Beowulf is a 30th level character with maxed ranks in Intimidate. The raider was demoralized. I suppose that's what happens when you challenge a chaotic good (almost) demi-god.

  • I wanna braid my beard like wiglaf

  • Amazing

  • on 2:00, looks like he wants to have sex by taking all his clothes off

  • That guy looks like a Berserker in Rome: Total War. ;)

  • If they didn't insist on doing the whole uncanny valley CGI thing, this movie would have been a lot better. If you want it to look like live action, make it live action. Nothing is more creepy and unsettling than faces that look almost, but not quite, real.

  • Monster voice!

  • lol no offense but I would have just ignored the speech and kill him when I had the chance since... you know.. he IS the king of your enemy

  • @Berith003 That's a cool story, kiddo.

  • @Berith003 But there would be no glory in it. He wanted to fight Beowulf and defeat him in battle, not just have a hollow victory handed to him.

  • I think there was an FInn of frisia during that time in two sources.

  • I think there was an FInn of frisia during that time.

  • how come he always needs to take his shirt of? this guy is like matthew mcconaughey for real.

  • Comment removed

  • @ur1man16 of Frisia, Frisia is a region at the german/dutch border (Friesland in german). And piss off with dragonball, learn history and geography instead

  • @MioRaem FRISIANS were the DUTCH actually, like JUTES were the DANES. Friesland-Holland

  • BAAAAAAALLLLLLSSS

  • You know why you can't kill me my friend, cuz I died many, many years ago when I was young

  • fucking win.

  • the one dislike is the one raider that couldnt kill beowulf....

  • wow the beginning is so true. christian pwnage.

  • "The time of heroes is...dead, Wiglif. The Christ God has killed it. Leaving humankind with nothing but weeping martyrs, fear and shame." Ray Winestone kicks ass during this scene.

  • made fin look like a bitch

  • Beowulf has a high liability to strip whenever directly challenged.

  • epic

  • I didn't really enjoy this film, but I like to think that it tells the story as the skalds would have done. Over the top, insane, and entirely unrealistic, but then again, that's how the story would have told.

But yeah, still overall hated it.

  • Or perhaps he is not a troll but a person who is sick of holywood butchering ideas, this film was despicable piece of visible drek it barely held true to the plot of the epic. It is frat boy like you who see this movie drunk and say "oh yah man it was fucking sweet especially the part where we got to see angalina jolie's tits".
