Technically they could be considers bugs based on a definition I use... Yes they are not INSECTS (6 legs)... But I find a bug to include insects, arachnids, etc (ants, wasps, bees, spiders, snails, etc). Basically... Invertibrates generally with an exoskeleton (slugs being the acception and maybe a few others that I lack to think of at the moment) that live mainly on land. Meaning crabs, crayfish, etc are not bugs.
