SWEET My choices are UV Yale and Duke because those are the three that only offer medical I really don't know which I want to go to though how was your living conditions like the dorms what were the activities
@habitat4life lol. I had the same consideration when applying. I looked for the ones that stated in their description that they were emphasizing diversity or didn't mention anything...I stayed away from ones that said they aimed to help people underrepresented in medicine
@Chani14922 Uuum they definitely aren't around to check so you are free to do whatever you want...but I think its theoretically frowned upon to go out. But yeah, definitely no one around to check we always went out.
@yvonnenong Out of the three I applied to, it was the only one I was accepted to. I applied to it in the first place because of the location, the curriculum it offered, and the stipend. I forget what it was in comparison to other locations, but those are the reasons I chose to apply in the first place.
This is SO cool! Thanks so much for uploading this! I just finished my freshman year of college at UC Riverside (CA). I didn't apply for this program this summer because my gpa was really low. Nonetheless, I applied to the Dental Explorers program at USC, which was very competitive to get into and I just got accepted into that. The moment I learned about SMDEP I really wanted to do it! Next summer i'm applying for the dental programs at Un of Washington and UCLA. Maybe New Jersey as well.
@pattyonline89 I think she goes to William and Mary. She described her organic chemistry classes as being between General Chemistry. This is the curriculum at William and Mary.
Hey I'm applying as well. but just to gauge my chances, what was your GPA when you applied? and what was the GPA's of people you met while attending the program? If you dont mind me asking of course.
Great video! Good luck with your Pre-med studies... I attended UMDNJ this past summer, and it truly was a GREAT experience if I could i would do it again!
I didn't apply for the ambassadors program. As far as I could tell if you joined you were kind of on your own to do things instead of getting assignments, and with my schedule I would probably never do anything unless it was assigned. Haha.
Thanks so much for posting this! This really helped me, because they didnt really give you any knowledge about the actual program. But this gave me some inside info.
Another Question how much does it cost or does it cost?

@twweety9 Its free. In fact, I got a stipend. the programs are all different depending on where you go, but they're all free except maybe for travel.

@DrGaryInfinity
When I applied my GPA was 3.7 ish ... I didn't ask what other peoples GPA was so I'm not sure but as far as I could tell it was pretty selective.
