  • I have a question about this ending I tryed to kill the council on my ps3 comic and they make it seem reagade to do that is there anyway I can make it paragon like this ending ?

  • @bonemantour "Kill the council" decision is a renegade one. That's why it is shown as a renegade in comics.

  • What happens when you choose to restore the council?

  • A whole game later and Shepard still doesn't have any idea how to stop the Reapers.

  • Really why everyone changes the face of male shepard, his voice is best with the original model >.<

  • @Mirc13ever seriously

  • @Mirc13ever not quite if you play the first time whit a custom shepard ..then the original will not seem right whit that voice

  • "No no, captain, I'd like to end this meeting with all my teeth in place."

    Shepard PAAAAWWWWNCH!!!

  • The speech that Captain Anderson gives at the end of this scene sends shivers up my spine because it is absolutely epic.

  • the speech that Captain Anderson gives at the end of this ending sends shivers in my spine, its just absolutely epic. Can't wait for mass effect 3.

  • the speech that Captain Anderson gives at the end of this ending sends shivers in my spine, its just absolutely epic. Can't wait for mass effect 3.

  • (adding to previous comment)

By entanglement between them, I mean the Krogan and the Rachni. Of course, any Mass Effect player should already know that.

There's also the Quarian and Geth rivalry to consider, in addition to the Krogan and Salarian rivalry. I can go on and on about the side stories and race relations. That's a big part of what makes the Mass Effect one of the best game franchises of all time. In other words, the complex side plots feeding into the main plot. It's MASSive.

  • What I truly believe to be the result from the whole Paragon/Renegade spectrum is about which races will live and die in Mass Effect 3. For example, humanity might resent Shepard for making human sacrifices to save the Council. There are also race rivalries. example:if you save the Rachni and find a cure for the genophage, there might be an entanglement between them, which will leave them vulnerable to the Reapers. Don't forget the other rivalries either.

Every choice has it's good and bad.

  • i will admit in the begginning of ME1 Shephard kinda seemed crazy. when shephard experiences visions and someone says that it might be connected to a myth about ancient machines that destroy everything, Shephard shouts out THEY ARE REAL!!!!!!!

  • @SCARZR he seemed crazy because people would rather be in denial then face the truth, Most people are afraid of the unknown.

  • Shepard: the concil can kiss my ass

  • Dude if you ever realize....

    Is THE TURIAN COUNCILOR BLIND?FUCKK

The Destiny ascencion was face to face with Sovereign and the geth why do the turian Councilor still believe that there's no REAPERS? FUCK

Ps:I'm sorry for the curses but you understand why it was necessary

  • @MegaIllusiveMan We have dismised that claim

  • lòl_ì_fËêl_sÖ_lÒñêly_tODAY

  • Arguably the best ending in the game, second being the renegade ending with the council.

  • @uadfa yeah. Honestly I always thought this THIS should be the full paragon ending and the true renegade ending should be the other one you mentioned. How is sacrificing innocent people to save politicians a good action? And the council gives a great speech at the end if you're a renegade

  • @matthewthepirate44 Not to mention that the renegade ending without the ending was cartoonishly evil.

  • I'll pick Udina. I have no save files for either game anymore. Though I will save the council. Believe its best decision for me because Udina the Ambassador handled politics unlike Anderson. I think in ME 3: Liara shadowbroker= BIG deal, Kasumi loses data uh-oh, Thane dies, Ashley becomes a Spectre, Zaeed wants revenge if you "Killed" him, Wrex hears about genophage not happy, Miranda (Loyalist) betrays you for Cerberus/ Illusive Man? Counters to this Paragon Mass Ally belief. Just ramblin actl.

  • @Mr2NewYork Miranda resigns from Cerberus at the end of Mass Effect 2 if you go paragon, if you bring her with you to the Human-Reaper larva the Illusive Man tells her to "stop you" if you destroy the base. She says "no" basically, and tells him to "consider that my resignation." My quotes aren't the exact quotes from the game, but the same idea.

  • if this were in reality, no one with a sane mind shall choose to save the council first... at that time Sovereign was trying to gain access to Citadel relay and bring in other reapers, it may succeed any time so defeating Sovereign asap is the top priority. what if alliance fleet suffers too many losses saving Ascension and can not finish Sovereign in time?

  • Asari and Salarian councilors I love them but turian councilor let him burn in hell and Garrus becomes the next turian councilor

  • Yeah, I saved the Council and they're a bunch of assholes in the second one.

  • 'So what now' 'Captain I believe its time for an epic speech'

  • "Ramirez! Drive the Reapers back into Dark Space!"

  • As soon a the reapers come I am killing Udina and the Turian council member...

  • how come if u let the council live and pick anderson udina's just like: FUCK U!!! pick me bitch!!!

but if you let them die and pick him he's all like: ok

  • Anyone else feeled like Darth Vader when you chose Udina ?

  • So when the council is dead, how come Shepard doesn't get any help with the Reapers in ME2? xD

In my ME2 the council was still just like "lololol reapers are a myth lol."

  • @InsecureLemon not really.

  • @snfonseka Are you on drugs? In ME1, the council is all done to help you fight against the Reapers. Even Udina, the biggest prick in the universe, is willing to assist Shepard with his fight against the Reapers. Then in ME2, the council is suddenly "Reapers don't exist. GTFO"

So yeah, InsecureLemon knows what he is talking about. Don't get your reply though.

  • @commandershadebetter Two years go by between ME1 and ME2, remember? In that time neither the council nor Udina found any evidence of the reapers and since not enough of sovereign could be salvaged to learn anything and Vigil on Illos was gone, they just concluded that the reapers were a myth, not the smartest conclusion but far easier than trying to accept the existence of the reapers, i hope they really touch on that in ME3, i want an option for Shepard to really rub it in their faces

  • @Tuse01 thats the thing everyone wants.

  • @snfonseka That's a good-looking Shepard you've got there. I say that because he looks exactly like mine. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that haircut was cool.

  • @InsecureLemon in mass effect two if you save them they give you some tolerance and give you back your spectre status. nothing else really but meh not that bad. turian councilor is still a gigantic walking cloaca though (search mordin in shadow broker dossiers and you'll get it)

  • @thuzan117 That is not the only way to get the spectre status.

  • @snfonseka how then?

  • @snfonseka why how else do u get it back

  • ive got a save game just before you have to fight saren... again :D

4 anyone who has finished ME1 and is playing/finished ME2 wots the bst thing to do? cos i cant decide...

does it make any difference in ME2 if u save the council or leave them to die then let anderson take over? advise plz :P

  • @Tomcfc0895 Letting the council live or die doesn't have much of an effect on Mass Effect 2. However, I believe it will have a great effect on Mass Effect 3. Remember there are three choices: Save the council, tell the Alliance to solely concentrate on soverign, or let the council die. In the last two, the council dies. Personally, I choose the 2nd action, but I believe the best action to take when considering Mass Effect 3 is to save the council.

  • @Tomcfc0895 If the council lives, the other species have a better view of you and humanity, which could be helpful when you later need their help.

  • @GUNtau9 thanx for the advice :D

btw i chose to save the council cos im paragon

  • @GUNtau9 r u a noob reapers will kill any and all advanced race so hell yeah they have to help to save their own scaly asses

  • @siddiquiadnan Sorry but why I am getting called a noob? I was just explaining something to another guy

  • @GUNtau9 Oh!sorry pal

  • when you do the paragon ending but with out councli does in me2 council get formed with turians salarians asari and humans or just humans

  • let the council dies is the best solution to win the reaper war. the 3 races will began some sort of ''arms race" to counter the human ''threat" and will expand their military power. If the they do nothing to increase their fleets the reapers will exterminate the 3 races easily.

  • @SajuukBr That's right. The other alien races are lambs, and a lion shall lead them. Which of course, that lion is Shepard, who symbolizes all of humanity!

  • I'm commander shepard and this is my favorite ending for Mass Effect 1

  • this is the ending i got it was a fun game im on my second playthrough!

  • i have a feeling Udina will end up being a member of cerberus...

  • @Ken8ball123 I don't think so.... for Udina, his personal gain comes first before anything.

  • @snfonseka agreed, the man is is a backstabbing S.O.B

  • @snfonseka

Im not sure he was in politics for himself in ME 1.

  • @snfonseka thats cereburus then there own gain comes from it as in just humans its basically the same thing

  • lol

    "they'll welcome our help"

in me2 if you kill the council

"let the door hit on the way out, human"

  • Reasons why i always choose Anderson for councilor:

    1. He surely deserves it after Saren set him up and ruined his chance to become spectre and councilor.

    2. He risked his life and status by unlocking Normandy when Udina tryed to kiss councils ass when he grounded the ship.

    3. Thx to his military experience he doesnt put policy in front like Udina.

    4. Anderson is your friend and having a friend in council says alot, who knows how ME3 will turn out.

  • I saved their dumb asses from a Reaper with an army of geth by its side. And what do they do to repay me in ME 2? THEY ACCUSE ME OF TREASON!! See if I ever help those pricks again!

  • @LightButDark575 treason r u crazy above all they called shepard a mad man for chassing dreams.in me3 i will personally tel them have a chat with harbringer then when all the talking is done i will kill the councile morons where they stand

  • @siddiquiadnan i thought harbinger (that little bug) died at the end of ME2...

  • @KuhoinX Nah that was commander for the collectors.harbinger is a reaper and that guy is a huge star ship.which was shown in the end cutscene.when all the reapers are coming out of the dark space. And plzz dont make fun of my by telling (Ahh! Yes! Reapers) like the councile guy ;) lol

  • I remember I got goosebumps when Captain Anderson did the ending line XoX

  • I hope the Illusive Man becomes an antagonist in ME-3, should you choose the Paragon ending in ME-2. Maybe have him indoctrinated by Harbinger, or have him become the main antagonist after the Reapers get defeated.

  • no no no the Turian council is the douchebag, the salarian and asair are ok, the turian is just an ass wipe

  • man it sucks anderson isnt on your side in ME2.

gotta respect what he did to Udina.

  • If you have this ending, will the aliens hate humanity in Mass Effect 2, regardless of the fact that it's the paragon ending?

  • You guys might hate the council (I hate them too) but if you stop to think, they are *cough* right. Because if the council believe in Shepard story in ME2, there would be chaos and panic in the whole Galaxy. It's what Anderson says,we can't blame them if they don't believe that the Reapers don't exist. But of course, they are still a bunch of dicks because they don't help defeat the Reapers. But it's the same as Nasa. Some believe that Nasa found aliens,if they tell the world, there would be chaos.

  • LOL @ comments on youtube XD

  • Shepard is weird when he isn't Chinese

  • Man, Shepard looks like Fist :)

  • I dont understand. U havent played ME2 yet. If shep doesn't die in this ending , how can he be revived by Cerberus?

  • @krazy12111 Play ME2 then U will C...

  • @krazy12111 ive played the demo, there you see how it happens, the normandy gets attacked by unknown enemies at the beginning of the game, you save pretty much everyone from the normandy, but get cought in the blast yourself, then after being picked up almost completely dead by cerberus they revive you..

  • @krazy12111 the normandy is attacked adn shepard's suit is damaged adn it vents atmosphere and he dies then they bring him back

  • @krazy12111 He doesn't die in ME1 no matter what. He dies in ME2

  • @krazy12111 He dies at the begining of ME2.

  • @krazy12111 i can answer you but its a spoiler

    SPOILER

in the beginning of me2 shepard is killed.

  • This was my ending. I think it is the best choice to let the council die; first because you can't risk the mission, every battleship must fight the sovereine, billions of human and alien lifes are in risk. And most important; the defeat of the council is the best to the humanity and to the entire galaxy. Do you imagine a new council, ruled by humanity, and with rachini and krogan along with them??? That "organic" alliance should defeat the reapers and conquest a fucking bunch of galaxies.YEAH!

  • @Costeniok No.

1.The Alien races will never trust us for letting there leaders to die. I am sure that they will wait for Reaper menace to be stooped and then they would eventually attack us. And you will have Warhammer 40000 galaxy born.

2.When you let them live, races see us as saviors and give us full power. When you let council die they actuality hate us, but cannot do anything because Sovereign destroy Citadel fleet.

  • @Costeniok 3.Your Shepard mush have been ultra Renegade and alien hater.Destiny Ascension have crew of 10.000.And your decision kill them all,Human fleet lost 300 lives and destroy 70 Geth ships. It is worth to sacrifice 300 lives to save 10.000.

    4. They are maybe assholes, but they give you a chance in ME2,they reinstate you as a Spectre and rehire you in ME3 (they said that you return to them when you quit Cerberus).Human council give you shit.

But hey, everyone has right for there own ending.

  • @Costeniok One more thing:

I would like for Rachni and Krogan to join the council, with galaxy united Reapers don't have a chance. And council is already rule by Humans in ME2, just see CIS - more than half of them are Humans.

I have seen enough war with aliens in Warhammer 40000,in Mass Effect it's good to have lot of allies.

  • Why drive them back? FUcking waste them, they are too dangerous to be kept alive.

I hope at some point of the game in ME 3 or whichever they will give an option of wiping them all out :D. They taken trillions of lifes they must pay for it.

  • @Arthur900 wiping them out won't be easy....

  • @Arthur900 they built forces over millions of years.....a few new reapers every 50k years

theirs tech is superior, and the individual reapers are unhurt to all but dreadnaught fire

there are only about 110 dreadnaughts in the council

how do u expect to win? much less achieve total victory.

  • @namekman01 shitload of luck..and hacking!

  • @Arthur900 I agree that they have to pay for it. But look at how strong they are. It took the entire Citadel fleet just to destroy Sovereign. And there are a lot more Reapers out there.

  • I've just got this game again and started a new game and beaten it with a FemShep.

I sort of feel bad letting the council die. I know they are douchebags and all but when I chose to let them die, Garrus dissaproved of what I did and called me "Human".

Also the aliens, such as the turian at the citadel store in ME2, disrespect me now. That's what I love about this franchise, it makes you feel the effects of your actions and choices

  • Yeah I was divided on the ending. I felt the most logical choice was to hold the Alliance back to defeat Sovergein just in case Shephard and his team failed. Of course that wouldn't make sense, but hell, what if you know? And humanity taking over the lead of the council just makes for a better story if you ask me. Comments?

  • And I need you to recover

  • Ultimate human extremist game:

    -Favor only humans in sidequests

    -Give Udina power

    -Kill Council

    -Kill Rachni

    -Kill Geth

-Tell Quarians to go to war

    -Destroy Krogan cures

    -Save Collector station for Cerberus

I'd like to see how'd that end up in ME3.

  • Not good, probably.

  • You made the right choice(s)

    1. Let the Council die (*Evil Laugh*)

    2. Picked Adersson

  • @xXelmarcoCFCXx I was unsure of whether to save the council or not, but I decided that it wasn't just human fleets battling the space squid, and council members are not more valuable than the pilots of any species, and they were a bunch of corrupt snakes anyway. I let the council die to preserve the lives of the fleets, and then picked Anderson because he is not a nazi like Udina.

I am pretty confident in the decision, I just hope it doesn't favour human dictatorship or something in ME2.

  • The council are a bunch of dicks. I let them live and they call Sovergin a fluke. Doushbags.

  • @Rave7557 That's why fuck em. But the new one sucked just as hard.

  • @Rave7557 I hope is ME3, if you kept the council alive, you will have the option of personally murdering. I wouldn't mind shooting some lead into that Turian councilor.

  • @commandershadebetter that son of a bitch makes my blood boil.

  • @Rave7557 With Mass Effect 3 in mind I saved the council, but I was actually more interested in saving the Destiny Ascension since they make comments on how it has "as much firepower as the rest of the Asari fleet combined." I consider that pretty powerful (since it did tank the entire Geth fleet more or less and assuming the Asari fleet is more advanced than the human fleet) and worth more than seven human cruisers. A gamble that probably won't pay off, but I felt it did no harm.

  • doesn't really matter. Anderson is unhappy either way

  • I love it how picking a ambassador is like voting between McCain and Obama

  • Yeah Udina is Obama and McCain is Anderson.

  • @GuysSeriously I disagree! Udina is like Bush, an asshole but Anderson is like Clinton. Very likable!

  • Before you know it you will catch Anderson sleeping with Ashley.

  • @Nemanichvili no ashley is dead...dumb bitch cant hold her nuclear explosions

  • @GuysSeriously reverse that

  • Udina is ambASSssador

  • holy shit at the end you see the cerberus space station from ME2 omg i never realized

  • yepper, makes the ending of me2 even more scary.

  • @fuxu123 That don't make this stuff up as they go along : )

  • @fuxu123 OMG UR RIGHT!

  • @fuxu123

No, there's only two Cerberus stations (Lazarus Research and Minuteman tations) in ME2 and its not one of them. This one resembles Minuteman Station but it's just a minor resemblance.

  • @fuxu123 Nope, thats not the same one. Compare them both, they are very different.

  • @fuxu123

    what? no, thats jump zero

cerberus space station is near a giant star!

  • Letting the damn council die is the right choice. They deserve a fate far far worse.

  • One suggestion:

    Choose Anderson for council.

Udina is same douchebag as Council only about politic crap. While Anderson is more soldier + he is your friend.

    Let council die.

I wont spoil anything but if you let them live you will regret in ME2.

  • @Chester1004

I KNOW I was stupid enough to let them live then went back to the citadel, I only have one complaint about that part

    1) they were holograms so you couldn't shoot them for being such ass holes, well that and that there wasn't a rengade option for shooting the hologram projectors at least.

  • I let the Council live in ME1. Big f---ing mistake.

Their reasons for not helping are valid; if only the turian councilor was less of a dick. Shepard saved your sorry butt from the geth, and you call him/her a schizophrenic?! A--hole.

  • I was gutted when I got to Mass Effect 2. I let the Council die thinking a new one would just be elected. Even convinced Udina that a multi species effort was needed. Then I get to the sequel and Humanity has taken over. Hoping I can sort this out when ME3 roles around : D

  • It really doesn't matter which path you take in ME2, the council still sucks regardless of who leads it, and very little is done in the way of fighting the reapers/collectors. The only benefit in letting the council live in ME1 is that they give you spectre status back, but only in the terminus systems where it doesn't matter in ME2. Regardless Humans still lead, and the alliance becomes the default military for the citadel, pissing off everyone, especially the Turians.

  • If U let the council die and select Anderson as chairman you can get your usual Spectre status.

  • Does that mean you can walk around the presidium as in mass effect 1?

  • I saved their alien asses and they call me batshit insane in the next game. Fuck the council.

  • I agree with the statement...

  • I was like that too. I Was like are you fucking seriouS!!!? Wished Saren skull fucked them one by one. At the end though I think it was the right decision.

  • Yeah, I wished I had let the council die now too.

  • I wasn't sure how to end Mass Effect 1, considering your saves go over to Mass Effect 2. Originally, I let the council die, but then I went back and let them live. As soon as I talked to them for the first time in ME2, I wished all over again that I let them die. They are always a giant pain in the ass who do nothing to help.

  • @destinyson23 Only thing is though is that you're pretty much worse off if you let them die I think. Yeah they can be dickish but at least they're more...personable than the human council.

  • Anderson for head council FTW!!!

  • aww even the captain agreed that human should take control.

  • I took this ending and choose Anderson for council, because I couln't remember who's the second person.

  • This turns out exactly the same as the All-Human Council in Mass Effect 2. :(

  • so after i beat mass effect 2 i chose to continue playing... is that ok? once ive chosen to do that is he still saved to the point i can import him for the next game? i need HELP! lol

  • @nutty2223 you could have choose between menu and contiunue playing. So yes, you can play DLC and stuff now and you will be able to import in ME3

  • The problem is there is a very loose, default canon that I don't think Bioware intended - the default char for ME2 has Wrex dead and a human Council. I want to romance two different chicks in ME2 but I don't want to play a game w/a human Council or a dead Wrex.

  • @nsto119

I think someone needs to get laid badly.

  • I chose Captain Anderson for this, but I have a nagging feeling that it was the wrong choice...

  • I chose Captain Anderson. To me, he seemed more appropriate than some politician, even if he IS an ex-military person. Udina seemed like another bureaucratic twit trying to further themselves. In my opinion, Anderson would truly help the council and humanity, but at the same time like icetrey87 said, he would speak his mind if he saw that something was wrong. He is a good guy, but at the same time he kicks arse.

  • It's a video game you fucking faggot

  • *Tut* *Tut* *Tut*, bad troll.

Why don't YOU calm down sir? I was only responding to someone elses comment. Do you know what a faggot truly is, boy? I think not.

  • A rather nasty tasting food item is what a faggot really is, but I dont think he meant it that way lol

  • @vc180191

If only he DID mean food, then we would not have as many internet tough guys.

  • but Udina has more experiance dealing with that sort of stuff

  • @FilipH86

True, but I just didn't like him. Personally I think Anderson has better priorities, even if he does dislike being on the Council.

  • well Anderson is a better person more nice, but when the council dies Udina sees that as an opportunity for humans to step forward and lead the galaxy instead of beeing puppets to aliens witch I agree with.

  • @FilipH86

You are very right about the Humans being puppets, you have a point there.

  • Keith David deserves it. :)

  • Im just wondering whats going to be canon and whats not going to be.

  • @gunblade7303 that's the point of a game where the story is customizable base on the player's decisions. There is no real canon

  • @gunblade7303

Well the sequel is based a lot on your decisions in the first game, so I suppose it all depends.

  • either way im pretty sure that the council will be in mass effect 2.

  • Actually no, it will depend on whether you import your ME1 save game. If you let them die, the original council will stay dead. Everything you would have done would have carried over to ME2 through importing your ME1 save file

  • Indeed devote, but you must remember that if you don't finish the game then the profile won't be importable, I tried to import it from my game, (which I could not finish due to a destroyed disk) and it would not transfer.

  • I had this ending. Kinda wished I saved the council, but I'm hoping the decision won't strike me down too much in ME2.

  • you know, you still have time to play through again, i just did that right before watching this video, so i could make my story the way i wanted it.

  • @gunblade7303 I did too. I made two shepherds, one which I preferred the most and another just to see a different direction.

  • The Normandy flying away at the very end is soooooooooo epic =)

  • in all my playthroughs, renegade, paragon, council, no council, i never..NEVER elect udina.... he's a faggot

  • Udina is just as bad as the rest of the council. Let the back-stabbing politic die...Captain Anderson deserves to be part of the council after all the hell he has been put through in his time.

  • Anderson actually dislikes being on the Council, but knows that it is the place where he will do the most good. I tried to convince him to leave the council and join my crew, but he said he feels too old, and he knows the place where he can do the most is with the Council.

  • lol I just recently beat this game and my friends were watching me for the last level and we all started laughing at that majestic motherfucker Shepard standing out in space. Well me and one of my friends were drunk at the time so it might have been funnier for us..

  • so fuckin what=?

u say that for amusement? or what exactly made u post faggot shit? shall we think ur cool cuz u have friends u drink with? or shall we feel sorry for u?

dont know bro...really.u just fuck me up,thats all.

  • Lol, what the fuck? Something's wrong with you Lunatic4ever. How in the world did what I say piss you off? I don't really care if you think I'm cool or feel sorry for me, I didn't say anything to try and sound cool. I was just saying I was slightly drunk when I beat this game and that picture of Shepard standing out in space made me and my friends laugh.

  • @icetrey87 prob cause u called shepard a majestic mutha fucker

  • lol what's wrong with calling Shepard a majestic motherfucker? Look at the way he stands out there in space towering over the planets.

  • @Lunatic4ever dude grow up its a game your freaking out over something he said about a game sounds like someones pretty lonely whats wrong not freinds to drink an laugh with

  • no man,im just tired of people thinking its awesome to say something like that...u know..like who fuckin cares?

  • I got this ending and chose the ambassador which was stupid because it was that bastard that locked down the Normandy! It was Anderson that took a bullet for me!

  • lol you didn't make the right choice then because if you sent Anderson to Udina's office he wouldn't have gotten shot, he would've just knocked out Udina. This ending here doesn't make sense because wouldn't the aliens look up to the humans even more if they saved their council? I appointed Anderson to be the fourth council member.

  • I never get the green gardens!!!! How much paragon do you need?!??
