hey could some one explain the hellsing/hellsing OVA saga to me? i know the first hellsing (13 part series) isn't faithful to the manga however after reading it, i would say OVA isn't that acurate either.

one other thing, the animation of seras in this clip looks very removed from OVA episode one! has the series gone through a set of different animaters?

Well, The OVA is a tad bit different, but it is mostly accurate to the manga's plot. Hellsing Ultimate is mostly just a new, semi campy version of Hellsing that is based more on the manga.

That is, complete with nazi's, and Alucard's better release forms, and blood!Seras, and The Wild Geese.

Also, I think there have been some changes in character design, the Seras shown here, however, seems more like the braver Seras that emerges in the later volumes.

for all the people... this trailer is a Hellsing Ovas, the real story of Hellsing, extracted from the manga... the anime serie, of 13 episodies, is Extracted to the manga too, but the final is false... and very bad... is false, because the manga has not ended, And the series of 13 episodes was created before was coming to what one sees in the ovas, because of it they decided to invent this end, but with the new ovas they are following the manga.

Hirano's art style has changed since the first few volumes, so has Alucard.

Alucard is a bit more of a bishi vamp now, however, he still keeps his masculinity...and his madness.

I liked more the anime than that hellsing ultimate ovas, it has better graphics but goes much faster than the anime and changes a lot of dialogues :S I think i´ve got lost at some point

The OVA is based on the entire manga, and the anime is based on the first two mangas.

Anime = 2

OVA = 10

So yeah, some parts of the story will go by ALOT faster then the anime, but in the end, it will still have a meaningful story and character development.

...it was never there to begin with fuge, that was something the anime creators threw in there as filler mostly. That scene in the manga was maybe 10 pages....very short. But the original anime used them as filler to do a whole episode.
