I've been saved for over 21 years now. I cannot put into words what the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has meant to me. I attend a great church with a great Christ honoring choir, but what BTC does there are no words. The power of the Lord is truly upon this choir. All one has to do is listen, just once to know that much of what we listen to on a regular basis may move our feet-but hardly ever our souls. May the Lord continue to bless this Holy choir. You have set the standard as it should be.

I thank God for this beautiful song of pure worship.Some choirs play to the crowd and its just entertainment but this is GOD-FOCUSED WORSHIP.It is a blessing to see them in modest clothing-the main attraction is Jesus.I remember a song I heard on the mission field over 20 years ago...CONSUME ME LORD IN THE FIRE OF YOUR PRESENCE.Great worship song.Bro.David.

@crazy4jesus Have you ever actually been to the church? You have to understand this is a recording for a Cd....so it is a bit more orchestrated that a normal service at BT. I was a member for years..trust me it is a spirit led Church...and there have been some moment' they have "broke loose" as you stated. lol...visit on a Sunday and you will see. This was a live recording, which I was actually at...and they actually taped certain songs more than once..

God uses ppl in various ways and it is not upon us to decide which one is right or wrong. Its just for us to recognize the voice of God and the Spirit of God in all the styles and give Him alone the worship and the praise and not he styles. I love this choir, God always uses them to touch a very deep and hidden part of me. Bless God for them.

In my opinion, and my opinion only belongs to me. right or wrong it doesnt matter. I think the choir should stay the same. Unique and different in their style. Above all others in all ways. To change for us would be to bow down to those who dont like individuality and change.

I fully agree! I grew up listening to foot stomping, tambourine playing gospel music! Years and years ago I happened upon this awesome choir and realized the awesome power that is in this style of worship! Worship that is not showy and over-dramatic! I am careful not to sound judgemental here, but BT sings and MINISTERS while other choirs are in performance mode! I thank GOD for them and will be an aduent supporter of this great ministry until the LORD calls me home! Bless them!

@Robards62 - We should aim to conform to God's standards in all things...Acceptance is only okay when it meets God's approval. But the church must always remain a "peculiar" people (1Pe.2:9), never conforming to the standards of the world (Ro.12:2). Acceptance, then, is only acceptable within that context. We never accept anything that God doesn't accept. We reflect him in everything we do. We live simply to please him in all things.

Totally amazing. I cant stop crying tears of joy. Thank you for that song, it reminded me that i have things to do in my life. My doctor messed me up and then covered it up after telling me i had 5 months to live. I beleive in God and the many blessings i have recieved. Here it is 7 years later and im still strong in now a crippled body. I thank God for my pain, i know im still alive to serve and give thanks. Praise the Lord.

@mrtyroneb I hear ya ...but once again..this was a recording for a dvd/album...so they were on a time frame...lol...God understands this...and yes the spirit should not be quenched..but when you are dealing with unavoidable things..i.e. camera's everywhere..people who are of the world that you have to use to get a project done that will bless people around the world..you have to sometimes put some order to it so you can get a project complete. God is a God of order.

@mrtyroneb - the spirit of order should not be disregarded either, my friend. God has also called us to order and control: "But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way" (1Cor.14:40). Ultimately, our job is to reach the world and win them to Christ (Matt.28:18,19). So, if it takes making some modifications to do that, then it is okay. After all, that's mainly why are given the Holy Spirit to begin with: to do God's work (Jn. 15:16). This video is extremely anointed and godly..

@mrtyroneb -thanks, brother. We all come to agreement in the end, it is the work of the Holy Spirit. It is okay to disagree: that simply means we are think- or "rightly dividing the word of God" (2Tm.2:15). This is how the church was in the book of Acts; that's is how we must be today.

I totally agree!!! I'd put in a request for my sister to purchase this dvd(lol) She knows I love this choir as I am ALWAYS bragging about them! However, when I finally saw them, I was a bit taken back because it all looks so robotic. And although, I still watch from time to time....I'd rather put my cd in and listen and worship the LORD in my own way! Purchasing the dvd is something that I will not do, nor will I request my sister to do! Again, tho....I LOVE THIS CHOIR!!

I love this song! BT sings the most beautiful music there is!! What I find a bit interesting is how they can sing with what seem to be muffled in that there are no praise exclamations! Don't get me wrong, I love this choir and their sound. When I see this video and witness how Susan casually and mechanically walks away after singing one of the most beautiful songs of praise and glory! It seems that GOD deserves more than what looks like a "ho hum" moment! I mean NO HARM AT ALL!!! god bless!

And Susan is def spirit filled, and after certain songs have led the whole church into crying out to the Lord. This was a recording for a CD, this was not a normal Sunday service...so it was a bit more "reserved" you could say. I believe they have their reasons for doing it in this matter, to reach people all around the world.
