The cyclists and setting are Brit, the singers are some sorry species of American which has since, hopefully, gone extinct. Confusing discordance. Some of these geeky spoke-folk may be better off NOT getting themselves seen. ...Or heard. But 21st Century cyclists, DO wear light reflecting rags and LED rear blinkers and bright white front lights as sundown approaches.... The life your lights save may be your own.
It's os weird I just heard I've Got My Mind Set On You by George Harrison and I suddenly thought of this advert I reember both the song and the advert from my 80's childhood and I used to think it was the same song lol. Even though there completely different but strangely similar...or not check it out!
God tis brought back memories! Had totally forgotten about it but when it started I knew all the words! LOL! Can't believe we were encouraging kids to take a paint brush to their brand new Raleigh Grifter or chopper bikes! Ha Ha!
I use marine reflective tape (SOLAS) on my backpack and bike. As well as a flashing tail light and LED headlight.
Back in the 70-80's we never had energy efficient LED lights, the old incandescent headlights used to eat batteries like crazy. We also had the generator lights that used friction from your front wheel to get power. They sure slowed you down though.
Shame the little nog can't be made white. Legend has it that he was responsible for the hooter sound at the end. The horrible looking thing then went on to deal drugs successfully for the remainder of the 1980's.
This brings back a few memories of the 1970s - indeed I believe it was shown even into the 80s from time to time though rarely.

The guy (or chap as the case may be) Tweed Riding at 27, 35, 50 and 55 was at least 30 years ahead of the times. Shades of H.G. Wells!

It's brilliantly jaunty, this one, isn't it? Although does the lad at the beginning have an entire jacket made of foil?
