its amazing how much ignorance there is on here. bully's range 55-75lbs and have so much more muscle mass than others. what ppl dont know is they are a descendent of the mastiff and were breed to take down bulls etc. she is absolutely beautiful. from one bully owner to another keep up exactly what u r doing . i have been in training and care of dogs for almost 20yrs. and have seen over weight bullies, this is not one. :0)

Same exact thing with my bully! She loved water. We had an incident where she ran out and tried to swim, got out about 30 feet and stopped peddling and started sinking. Had to run out and get her! Just a ridiculous personality these dogs have. They have so much heart and always think they can do way more than they are capable of.

@orphandob u should do some googling on english bulldogs before you say hurtful things. this bulldog is actually at perfect weight. the muscle mass on these dogs is not like others. they were originated to take down full grown bulls. they are a decendent of the mastiff and range from 55-75 lbs. so hopefully u r not a bully owner as i will assume by this statement it would b very underweight and unhealthy.

Wow you people are dumb. If you dont know anything about bulldogs, for example how they are built, or how they make certain sounds because of the way their face is shaped, then you should really just keep that ignorance to yourself and not try to tell other people how to take care of a pet you know nothing about. @mikky1987 NO Excuses, just the way she is. She is a bullie with three good legs and one bum front leg that required a 16 week procedure to make the leg useable. She cannot exercise like other bullies, but does her level best to keep up. Everyday she gets to mosey about, and play as a 'fat' bulldog is one extra day we get to enjoy her presence. She is going to be 8 in May. BTW, I wish we lived closer, so you could meet Lola. You'd change your uninformed statement after meeting her in person.

@grantnlivvy English Bulldogs have large frames, they carry their bulk low. But FAT is not the right word. There is a difference between a large frame and being fat. Lola appears over weight and likely is... with a very low hanging body. But as mentioned above she is unable to exercise to alleviate this - but perhaps a stricter diet could be in order to fix that.

Lola looks just like my Porkchop! Both my boys love the water but can't swim! Luckily, we have several dog beaches in the area so they get to play in the water a lot! And she's not fat, she's beautiful! Bulldogs aren't supposed to look anorexic!!

Thanks for the concern. Lola is in great shape and sees here Vet at least once a quarter. She is a special girl, When she was a year old she spent 16 weeks in a fixedar to have her paw straightened after her previous owner neglected to fix a break. She had the Pallet surgery to remove much of the extra material that blocks Bullies throats and it allows her to breath very well. She is slightly overweight, but happy and healthy. Thanks again for the concern...

If Lola is not pregnant, she is overweight and appears to be possibly retaining fluid in her abdomen. Please talk to your veterinarian and have her heart checked.
