  • Chris was RELIEVED. That's what this was about. Now he doesn't have to worry about Omar anymore.

  • I'm pretty sure chris is just posing for the camera here ha

  • I think Chris felt dissapointed at himself for not killing Omar. Chris was known as a cold-blooded killer & he failed to kill Omar.

  • Whoooooo??? Lol

  • @amanezi88 i know your comment is 3 yrs old but i have to respond. From what I saw that is a look of relief in his eyes. He didn't want none of Omar, maybe Snoop did because she is reckless like that but not Chris, a direct confrontation with Omar was a last resort for him.If he wanted a piece of Omar he wouldn't have been doing pussy shit like shooting that delivery lady and framing him for the murder so he'll get locked up. Like Omar said he was in the street invinting them to come dance.

  • Who the hell would want to go to Atlantic City with Marlo? Oh, yeah, lunatics like Chris.

  • U can tell it really bother's Snoop that sum lil hopper got OMAR because they looked for him EVERYWHERE and they were sum cold hearted killers and sum little kid gets him outve luck

  • as bad as it is...it is what it is...its the game. cat and mouse...cops and dealers, supporting a daily habit, staying out of trouble, knowing peoples faces, they know you once you've been down there enough....and round and round we go...like a freaking lab rat in a wheel - but this show (ultimately) hits home hard for me, always has...as well as that other show The Corner - which this show is based off of.

  • @Itzsfo0 damn are you sure you didnt miss anything/

  • @Itzsfo0 brah shut the hell up got dayum. U and all your long as comments Wtf. Jus shut up !!!!!!!!!!

  • different dealers over the years - its crazy (and so many situations, that could of ended up alot worse for us, the early years when we didnt have the consistent hookups that we've had the past 4-5 years things were alot crazier, and riskier - people fallin "out" at the frisbee park, in their car, just minutes after our hookup leaves the spot - the dope lean on the side of your car (outside of your car) or seeing others doin the lean on the corners..on the main strip...its just a lifestyle that

  • or dimes of the boy or girl...(speedball) so it got to the point...a round trip...(and we had a major player in west baltimore (PUSSY POUND) - near the Sinai hospital (and kennedy krieger) who was (of all things) a rehab counselor, and moonlighted as a main runner on those same streets (near the frisbee park) so many large deals...thousands trading hands behind gas stations, nursing homes smelling in (taking in) that trashy baltimore air lol - around as far as pimlico (preakness) etc, so many

  • I knew a few characters that resembled "bubbles" but were white, but living that same lifestyle in real life on those same streets, literally. My 42 year old junkie brother...whom got me into this lifestyle when I was still in high school, his and my ex-gf's who dated dealers who were from dundalk/essex (and 1 from the city) who brought us "in" and introduced us to higher-up guys (so from 2006>onward) we never had to cop on the streets..we had middle-men...we could get "weight" instead of 20s

  • the shootouts, or murders, or actual network of drug-dealing (and what goes into it) when we were/are down there..but nearly 10+ years of going down to baltimore for 1 thing or the other (mainly either boy or girl) its just funny in a sad sorta way (we've had some crazy moments down there, dealers getting ripped off, moments with cops behind us, thinking its all over) some of the people I grew up with have obviously been busted numerous times. and spent time in the city months at a time

  • (while watching the show) lol in my head like "these are the areas we used to hit off, to score" many a times, over the years - its not bragging (cause lord knows theres nothing to brag about in that lifestyle) its just ironic to have a show based on the city (and same exact areas) that tons of people like me, and people I grew up around in the county, were coming down into the city (putting money in these guys pockets) to support our own chippys/habits. Although admittedly I never saw the

  • some younger, (using dope) having an opiate problem...myself included (nowadays most of us are on suboxone, and just moving on) but the fact that were only 25 minutes from where this was all filmed (and certain streets) like oswego, all of pennsylvania avenue, the main strip of edmonson (areas like shirley avenue) and over the by market (off of martin luther king blvd) Brice, Payson, Fulton (are clearly talked about on this show) and I think (quietly without saying anything outloud with family

  • he would be dead, legend or not..hes dead, marlos rich and alive...and calm laughing it up ? who won really ? legends dont neccessarily make happy endings, slim charles, and marlo got away pretty much...unscathed (and obviously unaffected by the damage they did around them) more so marlo then charles - there were alot of great characters on this show..and im from maryland (harford county) born and raised 29 years old...and I've (ironically) the crowd I grew up with were all using (some older

  • rep that, talk about brotherly love from time to time (maybe he did have a better moral system in place, despite what he did for a living) but nontheless marlo is a unique in that type of trade...made him along the same lines of a sick serial killer with a calm demeanor that almost made him introspective (IE with just a few expressions you understood what he was thinking) he didnt have to say much or anything at all at times..and its his swagger too..omar was great too but fact is, in the end

  • Its like "yea...I can kill you...infact I am killing you...I dont have to pull the trigger myself...and I can sit right infront of you...and tell you your going to die right now...with very few words...so just be calm, relax...just realize you'll be dead in a matter of seconds...but its ok be calm...take a breath...relax" Its so insane if you really think about it - but to Marlo its business its like moving dice, avon was the typical (though intelligent to an extent) man who wanted to rep this,

  • Marlo has something neither Avon, Omar (or majority of the cast) doesn't have...calm, collective - he may be a sociopath, a murderer (who just sits back, and lets the muscle do the bidding) but point is - he takes it with stride...calm - even relaxed when someone is murdererd right infront of him (not everyone/man can do that) look at the prop joe murder, its like a game of chess, marlo is making his way to the top with very few words, a calm demeanor which makes him just that much more nasty

  • WHO GOT HIM?? WHO!?

  • Comment removed

  • would omar had lit kenard up if he saw him comin though?

  • @suicidalxsamurai he did see him coming through, and if Omar had any idea that tiny shit was about to take his life, he definitely wouldve blew his head off.

  • i wish marlo had died instead of omar....

  • I think Chris was upset because he felt Marlo and his crew should've been the one to body Omar. Omar went around talking wreckless about how weak Marlo is and the person who bodies Omar is a child. A child did something Marlo couldn't/wouldn't do.

  • @rocyaice Recall the scene when Chris said to Marlo "you made your play, now its time for me to make mine," after they cut Prop Joe out the co-op. He personally wanted to be the one to deal with Omar, probably mostly for personal pride reasons.

  • It would've been sweet seeing Omar and Chris going at it. Battle of the century right there!

  • Who really killed Marlo was Chris and Snoop. While Omar was out in the street calling him out, they were trying to keep it out of Marlo's ear. Goes to show you how Marlo really wasn't built to be a king. He's so wrapped up in a pawn's mentality (soldier), that he would have been easy prey for Omar had he been lured into the street. It took only Kenard to do what no other man in the city could do. Though it doesn't make him a king, Kenard is certainly a Prince (Queen on the chess board).

  • @amanezi88 True. He probably want to kill Omar with, his bare hands...or, a nice mental and, physical torture before death(worst than, he did to Michael's stepfather)!

  • I knew Omar was going to be iced in season 5, but I just couldn't picture the writers creating a scene where Snoop/Chris capture Omar.

  • Snoop is asking who because she wants to get with that young boy lolol

  • Chris isn't disappointed here, he's spooked because when a legend like Omar can buy it like that, just blown away by some runt, then all bets are off. All your professionalism, all your target practice, all your body armor, you can still die, just like that. One second you're there, next you're gone. Omar dying like that means that he can die like that as well. It's a moment where his sense of superiority over the less professional killers crumbles and he realizes that he is just human after all

  • @immortalass good ass commentary!

  • @immortalass Very well said! ;-)

  • marlo was fuckin happy as a muthafucka no more gettin robbed

  • @475GC bullshit!mike got his ass when he turned into the new Omar.minus the faggotry.lol

  • @xkaliber72 na mike got the other nigga...marlo stopped sellin drugs 2 become a businessman remember

  • @475GC mike got the old man from the co-op

  • @475GC the dude was marlo's bank.mmike made it known he was comin for "some of" marlo's money.then he shot ol boy in the leg.

  • notice how stupid chris and snoop feel

  • who got em, whoooo

  • Chris was shook on omar coming after them since the poker game robbery

  • the whole point is omar was a hard person to catch slippin and a kid caught him... thats why there shocked

  • chris looked dissapointed

  • @rgm5951 Nah man, Chris was PISSED because he wanted Omar bad.

  • *he didnt no omar was callin him out

  • thats why marlo got cheesed in the scene they all were in jail cuz he didnt no marlo was callin him out

  • you guys don't no why they were so shocked... they were shocked because they knew he was makin marlo look like a punk and they had to be the ones that kill him...

if they were scared why would they of killed butchie to aggravate him

chris and snoop were shocked cause alittle kid got to him first they missed there shot... (it was more like a FUCK!)

  • wish i got to see marlo and chris go to AC just once...i mean, you never really see marlo, avon/stringer, slim, prop joe, etc. have fun with their cash...and i'm sure they would in real life...

but nooooooooooooo, the wire has to be all negative and pessimistic and serious. the wire can't show the viewer that drug dealers are more than just slaves to the system and that they can be independent human beings. the wire has to focus on impending doom

jk i love the wire no faults in the show

  • "negative and pessimistic and serious"???

The whole show was about crime and it showed that the crimes at the top are worse than the crimes in the streets. What would've been so positive about seeing some niggas ball out with money soaked in the blood of their communities?

  • well you do get to see that avon's bout to have a 3-some when he gets out of jail

and you see mcnulty and bunk get drunk all the time

and you do see dukie and mike go to six flags and pick up girls

would it have been so out of line for the show to humanize marlo just a little? it wouldnt be a positive scene and it wouldnt be negative, it'd just show you that chris and marlo are capable to do more than gamin' in baltimore

  • What's the sense in trying to humanize savagery? The show was and is a favorite because they did it the way they were supposed to. Chris and Marlo can do more than just game in B-More, they'll just do it in different shows with different names.

  • Not only Chris was tight that he wasn't the one who should've killed Omar but when Marlo told him and Snoop that he found that out by himself,it looked like that Marlo was mad that he had 2 find out that Omar was murked himself through Monk.

  • It didn't look like Marlo was mad he had to find out through other means. It was almost like he was happy either way. As long as it was done. Kinda like when they took the credit was doing Stringer. It didn't matter... it was done.

  • marlo was type scared of omar cuz he founded out afta everybody else and usaully he dont find out nuffin until chris or snoop tell me he was happy

  • I would have loved to see Chris and Omar go at it.

  • I wish Omar had at least taken out Snoop. It would have been a cute little confrontation.

  • No man, he saw Omar as a capable man in the game like himself and for him to go our like that is just shocking and does not bode well for Chris himself. No glorious shoot out just a tragedy, a little boy messed up enough to kill you. How do you prepare for that?

  • you can't because thats life. Its unpredictable, and i think that the wire was trying to imitate life instead of cheesy fairytale movie endings.

  • @naruto15963 Very good statement...but BAD grammar! Lol..

  • What the fuck was up with Marlos Shirt!?

  • marlo got impeccable style yo, peep the swagger

  • you really talk like that?

  • @CRCamp86 haha

  • @CRCamp86 dem stripez be crazy yo..

  • Marlo got off too scot-free...it was like he was impervious or something--nothing ever happened to him...at least with Avon they showed that he was human and capable of faltering (got shot, got locked up, etc.)..Marlo was too untouchable...i wanted to see him get into it with somebody

  • the thing with marlo he lost the only thing he ever wanted the crown and the power because if marlo does time he can still run the co-op from prison because he got the connect and if some kills him he goes out has a top kingpin of baltimore but keeping him out of the game that something that will kill marlo inside like he said to Joe he cant leave the game no more then he could

  • that's very true...Marlo being forced out of the game in a sense is the worst thing that can happen to him but still i would've liked to have seen him go one-on-one with Omar or Avon at least once

  • Are you serious, Marlo was flawed in everyway. All he had was luck. Yo this man picked up the dro himself, he had burners for weeks. He did everything wrong he shoulda been squashed by that boxer in season three, but again he got lucky. If the cops ain't up Barksdale he would have been dead that day. Yo Marlo is garbage.

  • He was ruthless. That counts for a lot. He took out Prop Joe and basically controlled the supply of the good drugs into Baltimore. He didn't achieve this by just being lucky. Any threats to his crew were taken out asap, even if it was something as trivial as one of his own people being picked up by the police- can't risk them talking, easier to kill them and replace them.

  • I can't believe Omar Little got taken out by some punk 10 year old kid. I guess it's kind of ironic or interesting for the story, but I guess I was just anticipating Omar would go down in some kind of intense showdown with Chris and Snoop.

  • Billy the kid got ambushed all coward style

Jesse James got shot while not looking

Al Capone died of shiplihus Its all in the game

  • MARLO got out the game. And with a generous 10 Mil from the connect....He's laughing

  • bingo man marlo played that one like a pro.

  • Yeah, but no one gives a fuck about his name. And "his name is HIS NAME"

  • he probably broke already

  • @sweatizzle I dont' think he's laughing. Marlo never cared for money, he wanted glory. And he didn't get it.

  • Kenard killed Omar trying to make a name for himself. Those kids spoke of Omar like a legend Marlo didn't like that, that's why he approached them like that. They didn't know or care who he was, even in death Omar is seen with more respect. Avon is running the whole prison and Marlo is out and rich but forgotten about and that is death to Marlo. All he cared about was his name, he isn't dead physically but they killed him, meanwhile Avon and Omar live on. Avon and Omar were THE TRUTH.

  • Real talk

  • Lol i c u on alot of these WIRE joints,we agree on most of the thing about the wire only the Omar thing is where we differ.

  • @allfiveny I agree

  • @allfiveny You right. Marlo was sort of forgotten about...because, if you noticed, in the last scene of season 5...when, he approached the two young boys on the corner..., they didn't even notice whom he was! Lol..

  • @allfiveny Remember Kenard and the other little kids watch the killings at the Barksdale drug house, when they ambush from the upstairs. That trauma could only mess the boy up even worse.

  • @allfiveny i gotta disagree about Avon. Avon's only as memorable as Marlo, the only difference is he had a longer reign. They were both just drug kingpins. If Avon gets out, someone else will be running shit and he'll end up back in jail or dead. Same with Marlo, who seemed like he decided to get back out on the street in the last scene. Omar, on the other hand will always be a legend. Damn I just saw your comment was 3 years ago but fuck it its top rated haha

  • Omar was a gangster with morals. He respected people and didin't raise his gun on anybody who wasn't in the game. Avon was A TRUE GANGSTER and they went to war and he even respected Omar. Marlo WAS FRONTING in jail he KNEW Omar was coming at him and he knew he would be talking shit in the process (now he gon be at us)proves it. Omar HAD Marlo Chris and Snoop all shook. Avon is running the jail Omar is a legend and Marlo is out and rich but forgotten about. They killed Marlo in another way.

  • kenard is da one dat tuk omar out

  • WTF does Marlo mean,he doesn't know if there was a why? He put a bounty on Omar's head. See this is a prime example of why The Wire could've gone on for at least five more seasons.Imagine Kenard getting out in two years, bigger and harder looking to collect on his bounty. His rep on the street would be crazy!

  • i think the why, was in reference to maybe a personal beef, outside of the fact that marlo wanted him dead. Kenard was a bitch though, but I could see him turning out like Lil Ze (from the City Of God) as their characters are very similar...

  • lmao. u high or sumthin nigga? kenard gonna be locked up longer than 2 yrs! the bounty was for the co-op only. kenard killed omar because he wanted 2 be omar in season 3. when he saw omar as a gimp, he popped him.

  • get the fuck outta here he popped him but he didnt even get credit for it omars rep was bigger then jesuses in the hood nobody accepted the truth. for example when mike was talking to his corner boy and he said like 5 niggas killed omar

  • Who got em? who?

  • She sound SHOCKED right?

    Almost like he was unkillable!

    RIP OMAR

  • lol mothafukkas was happy as shit when they heard omar was dead

  • "you and me got some time to A.C. comin to us don't we" hahaha! all marlo can think of is his Atlantic City Vacation, nigga luv to gamble

  • LOL. He wanted to go after he got the connect with the Greeks, but Chris talked him out of it.

  • Omar had all of them spooked. That angry Spider man who jumps from 5 stories up and vanishes before they could look over the edge.

Omar took the narcotics game in Balimore to new heights, not the average theif. He would give away alot of what he stole from the hoppa's out there.

  • They looked glad that was over.

  • I sense a bit of disappointment in Chris eyes...I think he would have liked to be the one that would have taken out Omar...

  • Yea kinda like how McNulty was so depressed when Stringer Bell was killed.

  • absolutely, great observation

  • Naw, i disagree. I think with McNutty's blind quest to get at Stringer, he didn't realize that Stringer was a smart, intelligent, and cultured man. Once he saw into Stringer's life, the one the streets didn't know about, he began to see "Russell Bell" as a human being. Chris, on the other hand, had that look, because he knows he effed up.

  • Propz74 -

What you mean by Chris had that look ?

What you ment by he knows he effed up and who were you talking about ?

  • Naw, it was more like he carried Marlo. He knew that Marlo didn't know that Omar was out in the street calling him out. Marlo at this point couldn't redeem his name, especially since he had nothing to do with Omar's murder. He lost the crown at that point. Oh yeah, he's been a gambler his entire life, and a lousy one at that. He might have got $10 mil from the connect, but he'll blow it all in A.C. anyway...

  • just like at the Marlo's last scene where he was listening story about Omar, and nobody knew his name
