I used to listen to this song over and over when I was a little kid ... 10 or 12 or so, and this voice, and this sexy sexy man still capture my imagination of the grieving warrior tied to his past and longing for a life beyond war and suffering. I have no idea what you are talking about but as a singer Hughes has all the vocal technique, range and style to do anything he wants vocally. Coverdale is limited. Coverdale is a nice baritone bluesy singer but he has nowhere the overall vocal ability that Hughes has, Just ask any professional singer. Style preferences is a matter of opinion, technique is not. It's pure fact.
