Get this video to Tauren Pools Twitter page asap!! Let him know this is what he could do if he trust his speed, and hit the outside, instead of running into his linemens backs!! Pool could be scratch that Pool should be atleast 2nd or 3rd on the SEC leading rusher chart! GO VOLS!!!
@mdsoultrain then u must have bin livin under a rock the whole time he played 4 the ravens. The dude ran 4 2000 yards in a season. Pretty sure that means he must have outtun a lot of d backs
Can we ever get RB's like this back in Football! Size,Speed, Agility, agression and good eyes! Now a days you have to sacrifice one to keep the others. We need backs like this again at UT!! This is my all time favorite RB in UT history! Please no more RB's that go down after the first innitial hit! Tauren Pool needs to step up and be the RB we know he could be. GO VOLS!!!
@mmm2ya Because Manning and Lewis couldn't play defense and Manning threw a couple of bad picks against the Gators. The defense matured a year later, and Tennessee finally did win the national championship even though Manning was gone and Lewis missed the last nine games. The UT coaching staff did make a very bad mistake by not using Lewis more in the '97 UF game, though.
Great video..my favorite tennessee runningback by far..we got to find another jamal..bryce brown is a baby compared to jamal..alot of jamal's yards came from freshman year, bryce brown didnt do shit last year..2yrds and a cloud of dust from the number one HS player in the country..what a dissapointment.
This is my favorite Runningback in college football! And this is my favorite highlight vid on here as well! I wish we could find another just like him! I guess it's hard to find that size mized with that speed, and agility these days! Most fast backs are small!
Exactly, tenn1983. He had a slight shoulder injury and mailed in the games after the Arkansas loss in 1999. Henry took over, with help from Onterrio Smith, who ended up at Oregon.
Amazing!! Can we duplicate this size and speed this day and age? Man the O line is what help RB's like this tear apart Defenses! UT had amazing o loines in the past! All the way up to Travis Stephens senior year were they amazing! Somehow they got weak over time and our famous rushing attack fell off! We need it back! Go VOLS!
Jamal Lewis is probably one of if not the best running backs to ever come through UT. He knew how to run with the football. None of that dancing behind the line of scrimmage, he'd hit each hole hard, no matter how big or little it was and take each yard he could get. Usually it was for a good amount of yards. Hopefully UT can get another back like that.
when i see this video all i can think of is Bryce Brown has the ability to be like jamal lewis was in college. if only ut can get their oline playing worth a shit
awsome vid, Jamal is my 2nd favorite player in the NFL and Tennessee is my favorite team in college. thanks 4 posting that because you don't see much videos of Jamal in college. If u have anymore videos you can make of him please post it. GO VOLS!!
Perfect song for this one! I was at that South Carolina game... Lewis was tearing them up! Thanks for saving this footage and putting it back out there.

Greatest running back IMHO in the history of the Vols. He was to football what Bernard King was to basketball.

Jamal Lewis was one of the most violently aggressive runners I've seen with the ball. He made tacklers pay!!
