@TheCbrown146 agreed -- also if anyone noticed the machines in alien 2 is the same in Avatar (just totally futuristic versions) --- alien 3 was really a let down, however resurection saved alittle bit of it, but was alot diffrent. --- but there must have been some problems since there were so many directors --- thx for telling btw, i didnt know ridley scott made the first ( had forgotten i guess) ^^ anyway all movies was enjoyable as far as horror can be enjoyed :D

i still like this movie and AvP 1 the second was pure wast of time. but coming to this, the book is way better and explain things that were left out of the movie, maybe that's why some people didn't like because they didn't understood. plus Ripley on the book was different, darker and lonelier, and bond between her and the aliens wasn't fair explained. the scene between Call and Ripley was more sad and cruel that was in the movie. but still i like it and i think Sigourney should make a last one

It wud hav been so cool in this film if from the point Ripley falls in2 that nest, and her and the Xeno hav that sort of Bonding. She then chooses to join the Xenos, and accept them as her new family (considering shes lost everything that was ever close to her). Then she decides to fight bk against the rest of the humans, in a mad twist, taking control of the ship, and taking towards the original planet from Alien, picking up aload of eggs, and taking them to Earth to assimilate humans lol.

I remember how disappointed I was after watching this movie. No soul, no atmosphere and no great artdesign, just a simple mainstream action movie. Only Ron Perlman is great, he would fit perfectly to the colonial marine team of the second movie. Imagine him with Drake and Vasquez. Holy trinity on the smartguns :D

I'm still waiting for a proper, final third chapter to conclude the original ALIEN Trilogy. Prometheus is going to rock. But I would love for James Cameron and Ridley Scott to team up to write a final ALIEN film that completes Ripley's journey properly. I know she's a lot older now but they could easily pick up where ALIENS left off by using the same CGI technique that the last TRON film used to make Jeff Bridges look believably younger, on Sigourney Weaver. Good grief, give us a real finale!!!!

Prometheus sounds incredibly promising , but memories of the alien4 Newborn (URGGHHH!!!) spring to mind.. i hope they don't allow themes of genetic engineering and hybrids to produce another ABOMINATION like that.

@kynigh If you watch Alien and Aliens before playing Dead Space, you'd notice the game takes a lot of inspiration from those 2 movies in terms of look & feel (especially the first one). The corridors, the nest, the cocoon, the awkward way slasher moves, how the aliens are wanted by a company / government / unitology, etc.

I'm not saying that's bad, because I LOVE Dead Space.

@kistajk Oh yea I've actually watched some Aliens movies before and I only played Dead Space demos and watched some videos, I don't have the game. But the Aliens movies are awesome I've always wanted to watch them cause a copy of Alien Resurrection came with my PS1 :D

@kynigh Resurrection is alright (better than 3 and AVPs) but Alien 1 and 2 are the best :) You should definitely watch them if you like Resurrection. Oh and try to play Dead Space as well if you can, it's really great. If you've got an iPhone, wait for EA sale to get it for $0.99, I reckon it nails the atmosphere perfectly.
