I'm not sure how the images are meant to fit with a romantic peice of music.
We see death and destruction rain down from the skies onto German cities. Tens of thousands of brave young Americans died on those raids and veterans of those times will tell you just how shit scared thay were when they flew on those missions.
Just as Paint it Black got to be associated with Vietnam a quarter of a century later much of Millers music will always be associated with the American air war in Europe.
I kike every thing British like comedy shows Like keeping up appearances As time goes By The Last of The Summer Wine Waiting for God Are you being serve. Masterpiece Theater . And Charles Dickens my Favorite Author. And the people how they stood up to Hitler durning WWII. My dream is to vist England some Day. Regarts Miguel.
I just wanted to make sure. The B-17 Sentimental Journey on your Video is the same one located in Falcon Field in Mesa Arizona. I Live In Mesa about two Miles from Falcon Field. On two occasions I have seen the Sentimental Journey fly over our area quite a sight and the sounds of of the Engines is something to hear . I was station in Germany US Army from 1959 to 1961 Coming back to the States on A ship in Feb I961 saw the White Cliffs of Dover beautiful sight..
I ilve in the UK so cannot answer your question, I'm afraid. I know there are many American museums in East Anglia where the 8th airforce were stationed. The most famous is at Duxford, Cambridgeshire.
@111835 It used to be several years ago Miguel. My father flew in WWII in a b-1 7 and later when Journey came to Yuma, AZ he was also CAF and in uniform so they let him flew in the tail gunner position over to El Centro. He laughed and said he didn't fit as good as he used to. He went to war @ 19 years old and lived through it!
the war is so ugly but when the planes are up there just flying it's beautiful
