When you steal from a store you are not hurting anybody but the people that work there. Stores have budgets to meet and shrink levels to control. When stores don't make their budgets and shrink numbers are high people get laid off stores close. If your hungry and have no cash go to food pantry or a soup kitchen. Work towards obtaining gainful employment. If you have the ability to post something on youtube your not hurting. Your camera/smart phone and your computer could be sold for food money.

Actually consumption/ grazing is considered theft. Damaging merchandise without purchase is also theft or destruction of property. Funny thing is that destruction of property is legally more serious than lower counts of theft. Had these guys been caught doing this, they would have at least been charged with class C Misdemeanor Theft - a criminal record - and a fine of (depending on state) $250. Lets also not forget that venders rights state that they are allowed to pursue civil damages,
