11:00 and beyond - Terror and Wonderment, Uplifted. I can't help but be moved, transported out of this carnal existence into the spiritual realm. That is the best I can do with words.
Explicit Liber Comedie Dantis Alagherii de Florentia Paradiso Canto XXXIII
what an intensity, what a glory ... the whole of it and its final part, specifically, is to me as the approaching of a man to the eternal gates of heaven ... what you can feel here deep within is the process in itself, the final revelation is beyond the process, it's in a different level, no more music (i.e. the process, full, resplendent, the object which reflects itself into the subject), only the silence, to be filled but subjectively...
In my opinion the best interpretation ever, and a legendary performance. Bravo!Celibidache seems to have been the only conductor who had understood what 'feierlich, nicht schnell' really means.
I'm always astonished by how committed this orchestra was under Celi... one might not always agree with the man, but that orchestra... wow. Gives "burnished tone" a whole new meaning!

THIS is how the coda of the last movement of the 8th should go:
HOLY AND TERRIBLE, full of the mysterium tremendum of Almighty God , which I firmly believe was Bruckner's goal.
but why those philistines in the audeince are not stunned speechless and have to defile the thing by their vain applause is beyond me

@Strefanasha look at Celibidache's face and you know he thinks about this auditorium

Magic. What Celibidache does from 10:53 is beyond this world.
