  • When importing footage from in my case a ps2, there are always these annoying lines that run along the screen(see the videos on my page as an example) both when recording and while editing(and of course when i upload it to youtube) does anyone have any idea how i can fix this problem? because this is the only problem i have. the quality is good, no lag of any sort which seems to be popular problems, others have encounted. so yeah any help would be greately appreciated.

  • @0616251 I watched a few of your videos and I am not quite sure what lines you are talking about. Can you pick a video that has them so I can check it out.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • how do you set it to HD?

  • @SpencaVideos Go 2 your drop downmenu at the top and select Setup & then go to Project Preferences. You will see on the right hand side there are a couple of choices. You can have the project automatically set to the first piece of video you drop into your timeline...if you drop HD then your project is HD or if your drop a SD clip then your project is SD. You can also choose the second option and for your project to be HD. Remember SD footage will always be SD no mater what. Cheers,Anthony

  • Can soemone help me plzzz? How can I import song and put to it some picture or something else? plzz help me

  • @tobijs1234 Where is the song? If it is a .mp3 then you simply drag it to the audio timeline. If it is on a CD, then you will have to Rip the song into a .MP3 first. Make sure you own the rights to the music if you are selling your projects. Then simply place your pictures on the video timeline...you can even add transitions in between each photo or even movement to bring your photo to life...read about Pan and Zoom...similiar to what you see in a documentarty.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @AnthonyMartorina thnx. It saves me like pinnacle studio format and i can't upload it anywhere. How to save it like 3gp or mp4 format?

  • @tobijs1234 Your computer via Windows Media will let you rip music from your CD. Rip it to a folder on your hard drive of your computer. Then from Studio look at that folder and then you will be able to use those audio files in your movie.

  • i NEED major help. So i was trying to import my media and the media i was importing is on my desktop but i cant figured out how to get to my desktop any ideas help please? im really use to using movie maker which i know is nothing compared to this. This is a really confusing program but i plan to put in the time to learn as much as i can

  • @munificencez Make sure that you know the folder location of your videos, photos and music. Open Studio from the EDIT Tab you will see a video camera on the left. Click on it. You will also see a white folder to the right of the drop down menu. Click on that folder and it will open up windows explorer. Simply navigate to where your videos are stored on the computer and they will show up in Studio. For photos click on camera and Music and Voiceover click on note.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @FuzyGaming If your video files are on the C Drive of your computer already, then there is no need to import them. Go to the Edit tab where your timeline is and select the Video Album and then use the Folder Icon at the top of the Album to point a direction to your C Drive Folder where your videos are located. You will now be able to start editing your videos.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @pokemonrox2 -- did not help. "Other devices" lets me see D-G drives, but not C drive, which of course where I download stuff to.

  • i import from my camcorer but it didnt import all my video files why did this happen only half my video files are there the rest are still on the camcorder can anyone help me pls

  • i import from my camcorer but it didnt import all my video files why did this happen only half my video files are there the rest are still on the camcorder

  • @gateopenope Did you have enough room on the hard drive of your computer? If you did not have enough room then Pinnacle Studio had no where to put the files.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • How do you import from your C drive instead of from the camera?

  • @htwhyppe you should be able to. click "other devices" and find the C drive. tell me if this helps...

  • @htwhyppe If your video files or photo files are on the C Drive of your computer already, then there is no need to import them because they are on your computer. Go to the Edit tab where your timeline is and select the Video Album and then use the Folder Icon at the top of the Album to point a direction to your C Drive Folder where your videos are located.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • Why can't I import? I've been trying for hours and I can't get my videos from my camera in the computer/pinnacle studio. .. When I click on "start capture" in DV device it looks okay but after I stop it, what do I do next? Please I need an answear

  • @xXKittyBeaXx Your video is being saved to your hard drive of your computer...you can set that location up. Once you have captured your video...remember that hard drive location or folder...when you go to start editing make sure that you select that folder from the timeline.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • omg im having trouble with my pinnacle studio 14 i feel like youre the guy to help me......

i am trying to record ps3 with my dazzle but everytime i click import it will always say importer has stopped working

  • @xPandaBearExpressx Did the Dazzle work before? Is this a new problem? If the answer is yes, did you add some new software that might be causing this? Did you try uninstalling the software and reinstalling it? It sounds like the importer is seeing your Dazzle. Correct?

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @xPandaBearExpressx me too plz tell me if u figure how to fix "importer has stopped working"

  • that one i fixed.

    now, does pinnacle read mts?

    tnx

  • @taladuma The mts is the sony file extension? I am going to say yes because I have used those files before in the past.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • please why do i have trouble with importing avi videos?

  • @taladuma What kind of trouble are you having?

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • can i import media from my computer ?

  • @WillyDano Yes...the media is already on your hard drive...simply from the pull down under album direct Pinnacle Studio to those folders where the media is on the hard drive of your computer. The files must be compadible with Pinnacle Studio for the editing software to see those files too.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • when i hook up my ipod to avid it only shows photos and not videos. how come?

  • @Jenivera Which AVID are you connecting to? It might be a safe guard from Apple...not sure.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • im really frustrated because i just bought this but i want to import videos that are already saved on my computer. NOT ON A CAMERA OR MEMORY CARD. is that even possible?

  • @pandapenguin32 You dont need to import, skip that step and go straight to edit. From there you can select videos from your computer.

  • @timrupp thanks mate, that helped alot, i was looking around pretty long time. Appreciate it =)<3

  • @pandapenguin32 Simply go to the edit process and look at your photos and videos that are on your computers hard drive. The important thing is to make sure that your videos are compatible.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • friend a taste but you could spend your video into Spanish

  • gracias por todo, un saludo

  • when i made the movie when i played back on the dvd player it was running slow what would have caused this does anyone know and the quality was not great and i have best quality check and i can understand what i done wrong can anyone help me and tell me how to get the high quality on dvd-r which is what i am useing

  • there is no orange check mark on the files after i use stream why is that happeing problem is it wont import for me because its not check is that it and when i am importing files what in mode is check can you tell me

  • @gateopenope Are you trying to bring in Digital Files? Photo or Video? I do not understand the Stream Button you are talking about...there is nothing that says Stream on the capture window. Please try this work around, if you are using digital files. Just move the digital files from your device to the hard drive of the computer. Then go to the Edit Tab and look at your photos and videos from the folders there. That may work for you.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • hi when i click stream it does it but when i get to check or uncheck it dont work can you help me with this pls why cant my files import is whats worrieing me is it to do when i cant check files is that why it wont import does anyone here know how to help me pls get back to me asap

  • the import is a peice of sh!t on pinnacle. i spend 5 hours a day trying to get my 150 pictures and its erases them every 5 seconds

  • @Randomizer77 You do not have to use the import tool to bring your photos into Pinnacle Studio. Simply plug your media or your camera in via USB and move the photos to the harddrive of the computer. Then simply point Studio to that folder from the EDIT tab and start making your photo video. If you are using the capture tool, then you need to make sure that all of your settings for capture are correct. You can choose the option to delete original photos off your media.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • how do i import pics and vids that are already saved to my computer via webcam/ internet photos? I go to the file that they are saved in but none of them show up

  • @Mu5icManiac100 The first I would check is to see what are these photos being saved as(the file extension)...make sure that the file extension is compatible with Pinnacle Studio. If the file is a standard like .jpeg, .bmp, .tga, .gif, .tif...etc...then Studio will have no problem seeing these photos. Also, make sure that you are looking directly at the folder with the photos in on your hard drive from Pinnacle Studio.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • I use frames in my project made in Photoshop, at the quality of 300 dpi, but in the video, I can't even read the text of the jpeg file made in Photoshop, probably because of the quality is not optimized in Pinnacle. How do I show a photo at 100%? Improving the dpi in Photoshop doesn't give the solution. :(

  • @Leto85 What is the final resolution of your project? Are you working in Standard Definition or High Definition Video? Standard Defintion is going to be 720x480. I recently made a High Definition disc in Pinnacle Studio...creating a HD disc (AVCHD) on a standard DVD and my images looked incrdible playing back from my Blu-ray player. The images were raw large format JPEG's.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @AnthonyMartorina Thank you for your responce. I will answer this in a week from now because I will not be able to do so in the meantime. I can not work with Pinnacle right now because of some problems with my new computer.

  • @AnthonyMartorina Hi Anthony, my final resolution is High Definition. Does this have anything to do with the fact that the text on my imported jpeg files can't be read in the Pinnacle project, eventhough the quality of the jpeg files are 300 dpi?

  • @Leto85 Sounds like the Photoshop File and Studio are not playing nicely together. Make sure that the resolution of file is the same as your final video or the video you are editing...or you can just create the background image in Photoshop and then use Pinnacle Title Deko to add the titles over that graphic...that would be a way to keep the text readable.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @AnthonyMartorina So it could be a resolution problem? Oke. In that case, I know how to change the resolution in photoshop, but how do I do that in Pinnacle?

I think that I am better be off by using titles made in photoshop also, because I'm speaking about a lot of text here.

Thank you for your help! It is really appreciated.

  • @Leto85 When Creating an Image for Video. First: In Photoshop: Select >File, >New. Create a canvas with size of 720 pixels width by 480 pixels height and a resolution of 72 dpi. This would be the size if you are doing standard definiton. Adjust accordingly based on if your are using High Definition. Television has different standards versus making a photo or digital print. I hope that this helps.

Pinnacle Studio has video adjustments under Set-up.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • For Stop Motion, can you also import pictures that you already have saved onto your computer? Or can you only do it in the "Import" tab?

  • @Gloppy605 If you have photos allready created for your Stop Motion Animation you can definately add them to your timeline. Just remember a quick tip...you will want to got to your settings and change the length of your photos when Importing ino Studio. For a stop motion animation you would probably want to set it to 1 frame.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • how come whenever i capture with studio 12 its fine, but when i capture with 14 i drop like 50 frames a second

  • This stupid program! It won't let me select files from my hard drive! When I click other media my hard drive doesn't even show up in the list.

  • @SuperJadeDragon First can you see the drive when you select My Computer? If you can see the hard drive then you will be able to see it in Studio. Simply click on the folder from the Edit screen and direct Studio to look at the hard drive. Also make sure that your hard drive is fast enough to edit off of. Make sure the drive is 7200 rpm.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @SuperJadeDragon yea, im having problems with that as well, i can't believe that they would forget such an important function as that

  • nvm

    got it

  • How do you use a dazzle with it?

  • Dear xWPxBloodFang,

I suggest you watch the tutorial "Capturing Video from Tape Based or File Based Cameras" I believe once you have the Dazzle hooked up via USB...it should show up as a device in the Capture Screen.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • Pinnacle is retarded...You can't freaking get a file from a folder. What crappy editing software doesn't do that...

  • Dear ps2freak97,

U can definately access files on your computers from other folders. When on the edit tab, you will notice a white folder below the tab in the Album area. Click on this folder & it will open up what you will recognize as windows explorer. Simply select the folder &you will be able to access the file. Remember the file must be compatible with Pinnacle Studio. For example, when looking at video...it must be a video file like .avi or .mov (to name a few)

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • yea... sorry, hah I actually figured it out right after posting this comment.. I was just frustrated :/

  • @AnthonyMartorina I recorded Call of duty videos with my Dazzle Video Creator Plus, rendered them through Sony Vegas Pro 9, is there anyway i can import them in?

  • Dear gurdeeprox,

What kind of videos did you render out? I am sure that you should have no problem pulling those videos into Pinnacle Studio. In fact, you do not need the Capture screen to use the videos, just simply click on the folder under the Album Screen while in the Edit Mode. Make sure that the files you want to see are on the hard drive of your computer.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

  • @AnthonyMartorina thank you very much, i was beginning to worry about that
