if you have never been on a shrimp boat you cant just pick it up and start it will atleast take 5 or 6 years

i'm gonna be a shrimp boat captain one of these days. if i don't have much money, how do i afford a boat? do you pay for a little bit of it every month like a car? cause i really wanna start soon but there's no way i'd be able to afford it for a very long time. and how do you sell the shrimp you catch?

Well frist you to need to learn how to shrimp then you can buy a boat on a payment plan for sure and a truck comes and get our shrimp every nite. Become a helper for a year or 2 and you could be a good captain by then.

awesome. so whenever i do become a captain, how do i get someone to come pick it up in a truck? do you have to hire someone to do that or do they come to pick up the shrimp that everyone brings to the docks? i think it'd be a good idea for me to start out as a helper since i would have no idea what i'd be doing. how do i become a helper?
