Michael Berry was my first Dan, the first time i saw the show on Bway in 2009. I like him alot, and that he's more like Brian, than Bobby. Also saw him as the Doctors, which he also kicked ass as! Jessica is amazing, and so is Meghann. But, that Tim Young is LAME... could he look ANY MORE bored??

Huge Jessica fan. Is it just me or is natalie's music written to make whom ever sings it sound under pitch at times? It doesn't help that it's placed in super tricky spots. Tough stuff to sing- kudos!

@thnkgoodness07 a lot of natalie's music is also written in compound meters, so, for example, swapping between 5/8 and 6/8 nearly every measure. Superboy and the Invisible Girl, as well as the 'Heys', for example. So, in addition to the pitches, the metre is difficult. Diana is almost solid 4/4 and 3/4, in contrast.

so i got really excited when i heard how good meghanns voice was in other videos, then i was like hmmmm shes not a natalie at all, then i saw her acting....and she will never be better than a soap opera actress, her acting was HORRENDOUS and this role takes really serious acting and i just love jennifer damiano's overall performance....this looks like a community theater production of the show, so bad....

I think that Michael Berry has a Strong Act 1, but when you get to the second act he seems like it was harder for him to organize defiantly during How Could I ever Forget?, but his I Am the One (reprise) is amazing! Love NEXT TO NORMAL!

I have seen this show twice. The first with the original broadway cast. The second time was this past Saturday (3/20). Alice Ripley and J. Robert Spencer were both out. I LOVED both understudies. The brought something very different to the roles. They were fantastic.

MICHAEL BERRY! I love him! I had him as Dan when I saw it! he stagedoored too...He gives the character a different spin. Hid Dan seems to be more mature-ish and Bobby's has that sense of false maturity and uncertainty that's just Dan.

By the way Jess and Tim are AWESOME!

Really enjoyed seeing these 4 together - was at the performance last night with Meghann and Timothy understudying Henry. Both were excellent (as were the original cast) but Meghann in particular blew me away. Star of the whole show: funny, moving, stunning voice... and it helps that she's cute :P

So, I saw this show for the first time a few days ago and I thought that it was the best show I've ever seen! I'm already counting down the days until the next time.

These four are really good, but I don't think that they are as good as the main cast. Sorry. They are still better than most of the leads I have seen in other shows though. Out of all of them, I think that Meghann has the best chance of measuring up to he counterpart. But, as said in earlier comments, Aaron and Alice own the stage.

I have seen the show 9 times and never have seen Jessica or Tim go on. Intrigued about Tim as Gabe but think Aaron owns the stage when he is on. Meghann Fahey is gorgeous and I have to admit-a Natalie that I liked more than Jen's--less petulant and angry all the time. There is this haunting wounded quality though to Alice's singing voice that works SO WELL with the character of Diana. She seems literally in pain in a way that I don't see Jessica do here-but maybe she does when she goes on...

I saw Michael as Dan in Act II only (poor Bobby was still sick. He pushed himself and tried to come back but he really just wasn't ready.) and oh. my. god. He was actually phenomenal. I didn't think I'd ever be able to see anyone besides Bobby as Dan, but Michael really nailed it.

I also agree that Jessica is much smoother vocally than Alice. As amazing as Alice is, she does get pitchy at times. She's still FANTASTIC and has a great voice, but there's no denying that she is pitchy and flat at times. Her voice is distinctive, however, and that combined with her acting is what I love about her.

Thanks for uploading! I think i pretty much fell in love with all the N2N understudies. I'd have been interested in seeing "You Don't Know"/"I Am the One", but I guess this way they got to use everyone in the song.
