  • awesome railway

im building mine up at the moment

  • Should have used Donald and Douglas' theme for this for the construction work, but its still a good video :D though how come theres no diesel models?

  • @Cloud0009 haha, I made this video so long ago now XD, I did think of using Donald and Douglas' theme for work in the yards, but the section was just so short that I didn't think it was completely worth it. As for diesels... the reason you can't see any diesels is because... there aren't any =P Not one. We generally don't see the appeal of diesels on the layout as we don't think they have any character to them. I have been considering getting a Class 08 though...

  • @CobraRoll - Well if you want a good train to use, should get ahold of the 'Caledonian 0-4-0 Shunter', its not as powerful as Class 8's but it does have its charms :)

  • @Cloud0009 Have got a Caledonian 0-4-0 shunter, runs really well and can haul a good load.

  • lovely use of corks at 3:23

  • quite cool i also like model railroading please look at my video it should be on my channel i could use some advice if your willing to give it

  • Those terriers are my favorite.

  • 3:24, if you look closely, you'll notice that those barrels are croks from wine bottles!

  • willyou be doing moref your series

  • What a lovely story line, certainly brought a smile to my face.

Thank you for this lovely little piece of entertainment.

    Mike.

  • one of my best freinds was called leonard lol

    tugs theme tune ftw lol

  • good video and all one thing tho when stopping terrier you sorta jurked it a bit ttry slowing it down steadily looks better apart from that awesome vid

  • what a great layout

  • When are you going to make a new episode of you railway series or have you Finnish making it now

  • Your layout is absolutely marvelous! The bridge scene @ 2:01 was especially intriguing. Watching this video easily rekindles a love affair with model trains that may have been forsaken in the past. Thanks immensely for sharing this with the YouTube community. Great job!

  • how did u get the real effects and brakes and stuff plz need it 4 my layout

  • how big is your layout what by what plz help

i love ur layout its tops

how long did it take to make

  • I just CAN'T STOP watching this video!!! Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful piece of work!!

  • I'm getting to like those Cheeky Britsh Trains. I may have to build a small layout.

  • You are insane dude. I love you.

  • Thanks, epiCnlGraRiNSeOUt! (Man, thats a moutfull!) ;)

  • Do you think you could possibly try making a series like this? The position of the camara is great, and so are the plots! Also, is it possible to get Hornby in the U.S?

  • Already done! 2 episodes have already been published :) As for hornby in the US, I dont know.

  • I don't know of any US retail store that carries Hornby, there's no real domestic market for OO gauge.

HOWEVER, there are a lot of online sellers in the UK, and several of them will ship to the US. I've purchased Japanese trains in a similar manner (ordering online from Japanese suppliers) and it's never been a problem for me.

  • Hornby has a warehouse in Tacoma, Washington I believe... but that's it really lol... I have a couple of Hornby engines myself even though my layout is HO... their tank engines are just too adorable and remind me of Thomas the Tank Engine :)

  • @Lisavinny u can u have to get it from ebay ehattons.com stuff like that

  • @Lisavinny - it is but they're rare, bachman is their hornby

  • thanks for shareing this awesome video/////RAILJG##############

  • WOW, awesome, way past cool, i love your layout, love the engine with the smoke, how did you make the smoke.

  • The smoke in this case is no secret :) The engine was bought with a smoke generator pre-installed. I (Think) it can still be bought from Hornby. GWR 2800 class. While it indeed looks awesome, its a pain to maintain :(

  • yeah i bet it is, but its still cool thanks =D.

  • VERY well done....

  • I Saw Percy Again At 4:07!

  • Thee BEST model railway video on youtube. keep em coming :)

    xxx

  • How much cash did it take to build this railway

  • Best track ive ever seen ;)

  • Wow

How long did it take you to build and buy all of that

  • this is awesome! with your model railway in the basement, doesn't it collect a lot of dust? I know my basement does.

  • Yup, Alot of dust! We also have a de-humidifier down there and that clears up some of the moisture. Dust isnt really much of a problem on the layout, Its mainly dirty wheels which is our main gripe (It mainly takes out Terrier, but a quick clean always solves the problem).

  • what do you use to clean the wheels?

they're a right pain with some of my engines

  • Apart from this fantastic video, I like the tweaked up version of Duck's theme! Good Job!

  • nice one

  • At 1:35.... I think Percy was waiting on the second siding to the left of the platform, was he?

    Enlighten me

  • He most certainally was :)

  • a really nice railway!

  • wow kinda like Thomas the tank lol. you have a fantastic model railway and the vid woz super. u shuld make more lol

  • I do!

  • lol this is the tune from the tug boats lol the frist bit like it :-)

  • where did you get the southern livery terrier?

  • We got it quite a while ago. Its a model which Hornby doesn't produce anymore. Your best bet is Ebay. Sorry!

  • if your talking about that 0 4 2 aka Olivers model, your wrong, they put it back in stock. But that engine that took the passanger train at night with the smoke generator, now thats out of stock

  • @hornbytrainsets he was talking about terrier, not the 0-4-2. DERP

  • hey! my names Dean too

  • i spotted percy in there

    @ 01:35

  • what's the engine at 3;48?

  • Very nice!! :)

  • super! full marks!

  • is that thomas at 01.19?

  • Yes.

  • toby around 2:50

  • Henry: Nope.

Toby: Nope. (Was a breakvan in fact)

  • I think i saw henry around 2:10

  • my name is dean i guess i am a goods train

  • at 3:04 was that a dean goods handling engine

  • To the best of my knowledge, Yes.

  • ok, if you have 2 you could make donald and douglas

  • no accually your miles off that black engine with the BR logo is a 4F with a fowler 4000 gallon tender

  • how long is the grand suspemion brige

  • About one meter.

  • Hey mate, im new to rail way building and just wondering. You know your last train with the real steam, do you buy it like that or do you have to put somthing in it to make it smoke. Thanks mate, love the vid. Keep it up!

  • Was bought like that. Gives us a lot of trouble sometimes though :P

  • what make is the engine it looks cool i know its GWR but which company makes the engine

  • Hornby. Look up this model on the hornby website: GWR CLASS 2800 No 2847

  • oh is the engine second hand then

  • No.

  • then why is it steaming then hornby dont make engines like that what steam

  • Yes. They do. This is an exclusive to this model, If you had gone to Hornby's website and read about the model name I had posted, you would see that it says "Smoke generator, glowing fire box visible when in motion". I managed to get it to smoke while standing still because of the lack of traction from the smoke oil on the wheels.

  • i know there is live steam were could i get one

  • This isnt live steam! Its just fot a model smoke generator on board. As for where you can buy them I dont know. In the Uk, Id just try ordering off the hornby website or you could just as easily ask at your local Hornby retailer and order one in.

  • i know it isnt live steam needs special controllers and im not a idiot when it comes to model railways im an expert and i have heard of smoke genorators

  • Very well. Am sorry if I have offended in any way. Anything but intentional. But please be more specific when asking next time. Thanks ;)

  • ok and its ok you havnt offended me and i will be more specific next time

  • please make another video

  • i love your train vids

  • I love your layout! The remixed TUGS theme at the beginning is priceless. 5/5 and favorited!

  • i was wondering how much distance do you have between each station

  • No Clue! :P

  • oh could you just give it a quick measure as like i have said on your other vid i am hoping to build a layout and your is extremely realistic

  • Not as easy as giving it a "Quick Measure". I live around 300 miles from where the layout is. As a guesstimate, Id say that the whole circuit round is about 20-30 feet long. It may be more however.

  • oh fair nuff

  • excellent mate, i love that railway and the engines on it

    keep up the good work

  • wow that view from 1:20 looks like a real railway!

  • The Mirrors really make the layout look huge, even though it is, :D

  • that theme from TUGS thomas'sister show, it matches and cool layout!

  • What I'd give to have a railway like that...

    Great work!

  • We do try! Thankyou! :D

  • nice video can i see at 22 seconds thomas

  • hehehe yes. There are some TTTE engines on the layout.

  • You can also see Percy in the video too! See if you can spot him. (To SolidJosh01)

  • yes at 01. 34 to 42 have u got any other thomas locos

  • That I am going to keep Secret ;)

    Until a little later maybe...
