For some reason, I found the '68 version to seem more true and sincere. It was more believable and that's why I liked it. In that time it was normal to fall in love quickly especially when certain circumstances were trying to keep you and your "significant other" apart. But as for entertainment, I would definitely choose the '96, no doubt.
