  • That is absolutely amazing... only problem is that girl was horrendous with typing.. Using a calculator I, and I am not exceptional (try this yourself), reached 2584 on my first try. I am a piano player, but still... Just use your index and middle finger of your right hand and index finger of your left hand pressing "+" and "3" with your right and "4" with your left.. You will go much further than he does if you don't mess up.

  • he is not asian? dafuq

  • @aleinsteinizmi dude he came to my school and demonstrated it. That shit's real.

  • @niamhny I love how we watched the same vid I was just about to comment that!

  • this guy came to my school!

  • Scott visited our school today, he is amazing in math ! He is really a human calculator ! I'm from Norway !

  • I agree with the description.

  • Don't get me wrong. This guy really is ridiculously amazing at mental calculations, but boy is he cocky.

  • @bofawziii I'm no mathematician so correct me if I'm wrong but if n/0 = ∞ than 0*∞ = n which is impossible if n ≠ 0 because any number multiplied by zero is 0.

  • @GrriizzIIyy (n/x where x -> 0 ) = infinity. n/0 is undefined.

btw, the most impressive feat this guys is doing was the 3rd root of the big number. that is, if he had never seen 87^3 before, he could just have remembered it. (like he could be remembering a lot of square and cube numbers.)

  • Just watched some of his vids and in ALL of them he starts adding .. multiply (always 2digit2xdigit..then division (always 9 digit / 1 digit) then cubic root then the endless adding...

Then the memory lobe is most active? Sounds like he got a good memory to me

  • can he divide by 0?

  • @GrriizzIIyy yea n/0= infinite

  • He's able to calculate complex numbers fast? I didn't see anything involving imaginary numbers or even calculus in this video to be honest, did you?

  • dude this guy came to my school

  • 2:44 he would obviously win because the calculator doesn't show the full calculation until you hit equals sign but he can work it out in his head as they say it.

  • I envy you

  • i can bearly multiply 2 digit numbers in my head crap!

  • alright fuck it. I hate the fact the program make it like it something special to calculate the cube root of digit number.. 658 is more than 8^3=512 and less than 9^3= 729 so the first digit 8 and you take the last digit of the number that you want the square root is in his example it was 3. and you need to find what cube of the 9 first cube ends 3 and that is 7^3 which is 343. Thumbs up for me and not for scott flnsburg and the program makers:)

  • If he can calculate faster than any person on earth then why he doesn't hold any world championship.. It's either because he's not as fast as they claim because people do lie to make their programs more interesting or because he makes errors. In either case it would mean that he's not the best.. They cube root of a whole two digit number is very easy to get.. Most highschool teachers know the trick you should ask them..

  • @aleinsteinizmi gosh your stupid if anything he holds the genius world record book he is the fastest

  • this guy is fucking annoying, he preaches about how memorizing numbers is terrible and how it should be removed from the school systems, but at 8:07 the memory lobe is most active when he calculates numbers, also, he tries to promote the idea that math is fun and that calculators are a crutch, when he has a brain that works differently than a normal brain, so how does that make him credible for saying math is easier w/o a calculator...?

  • Wow. i had trouble in math, shit

  • This dude came to my school today.

  • such a waste, he will be a good accountant and nothing else.

  • This guy must hold the world record for knowing ALL the digits of pi!

  • @kirbyrules16 His the human calculator. Not the human library. He said it himself he doesnt memories. He just calculates thats why his called the human calculator. Unless you gave him a problem and the answer to that math problem is pi and yes thats the time he will be saying the pi ^,..,^

  • Talk about some one who could cheat at the gaming tables...

  • Holy shit.

  • I'm seeing calculus.

  • thumbs up if r seein this bcause of stan lees superhumans

  • He said he had not seen a doctor ever before. Did he see this doctor before the Super Humans doctor? The Super humans doctor that studied him came to a better conclusion.

  • lol there's a guy in my city (pula, croatia) that can do the same thing.

  • This guy should go to NASA to help with the maths problems ^^ XD

  • can you sit beside me in my maths exams?

  • WTF just happend ??human calculator OMG

  • This seems scripted.

  • @lostship47

    Its all real

  • he should calculate grahams number since it is just powers of 3

  • As for the division by 7. Most people give divisors of 7 because its a tough number to divide by because the decimals are hard to figure out. Thats because people dont see the pattern of 1/7th!

    1/7 = 0.142857142857142857 = 14 28 57 repeated

    so 2/7 = 0.2857142857...

So the decimal portion is not particularly amazing either.

  • Theres no doubt he is good, but hes not as good as he seems. He is using techniques developed by "Vedic Mathematics". They are math shortcuts to very specific types of questions like the cube root. He figured it out like this:

    658,503 -> split into 2 groups of 3.

658 503 -> look at last digit of 2nd group, 3, by the technique the answer is X7

    658.... 658 is bigger than 8^3 but smaller than 9^3 so X = 8

    Answer is 87.

  • That announcer has the WORST voice.

  • the answer is , you have a prt of the brain for numbers (math) and his isnt in that spot. the math is in the part of the brain that controls persice movments such as eye movment

  • He should play blackjack.

  • im surprised he isn't asian

  • I would us this this skill to get pussy from college math students across the country.

  • That narrator is a massive Faggot, but cool story bro.

  • hahahahahhaha kazaka92 i did precalc when i was 13 so go fuck yourself

  • do precalculus and then come talk to me.

  • Is the narrorator a male or a female?

  • hit up the blackjack tables

  • hihí_ì_fÈEl_sØ_löÑÉlÿ_tôÐaÿ

  • Nothing can compare with the human brain. Calculator sucked before him. I hope I had kind of brain to defeat all chess machines which are playing better than human now. Calculate all moves in seconds and make fool the chess engines.

  • finally chuck norris got some competition

  • What's with the pot shirt?

  • does that guys have pot leaves on his shirt? 4:14

  • for every person in this world, there should be something that he's not so good at,

i'm guessing in this case, the human calculator is not so good at being humble.

  • @fefafe334 think about it, would you be humble with this ability, i thought not

  • @pimpin2334 - thanks for the heads-up though..... i'm thankful i'm not as genius as he is, coz everybody would shoot me like what i'm doing. :) appreciate it.

  • He does it somehow using 9, the greatest of all in any number. Somehow he prolly rounds it off, then remembers all the numbers that he rounded it to, then subtracts it from his rounded answer, thus giving him the answer. Not so much sure about the cubed roots tho...

  • The scary part is he's not Asian o.O

  • BUT, will it blend?

  • He's almost as fast as Busta Rhymes!

  • The only man in the world that can calculate how many pushups Chuck Norris does... xD

  • He is good at maths and that but he is a cocky git cause he can add some numbers...

  • i love the fact that he goes around schools interacting with kids and sharing his talent with everyone, although he was pretty arrogant.

In terms of humility, I'd choose Rudiger Gamm over him anytime!

  • he came to my school

  • Count cards in Las Vegas and be rich! :P

  • the doctor that tests him sounds like the bad guy from die hard 1

  • He came to my school today... INSANE!

  • think a number, then do it x2 +8 :2 -your number(lets say when i told you to think a number you thought 5 you -that number, you -5)and the number in your mind is 4...and for all haters dont +8 just plus 525 the number in your mind is 262.5 not convinced yet? +324 your number is 162...if you want more just sub me and i will do it right away

  • this guy should try playing poker :D

  • @KobeBB they should give him an role in some poker movie ^^ :D

  • @KobeBB damn right he could win big fortune just from reading cards

  • @KobeBB

He's banned from every casino in vegas

  • this guys nephew went to my school and he did a presentation there too

  • Vs. IBM's Watson?

  • @OliverYixin watson would eat this dude

  • i met him today

  • @XBLzAKB OMG UR AWESOME!!!! OMAGAAD! I LOVE YOU!

  • @XBLzAKB stfu =)

  • He had a show for our school today in norway, freakin awsome :D

  • Give the guy a partial differential equation

  • We went to see him today, he is really awesome.

  • Wonder if he can divide på zero? Just saying

  • Count Cards

  • I bet he is not very good at solving actual problems when you add some physichs and stuff where you have to make logical conections.

I'm probably gonna get hated for this but he was so arrogant so i just had to.

  • He was at my brothers school today, and we live in Norway! He is so nice to come all the way here<3

  • cheater

  • Would have loved to see him do derivatives, integrals and just to be cheesy; chaos theory.

  • Damn... Hes pretty arrogant, but amazing.

  • i need this guy to do my calculus homework

  • He signed my arm today!

  • 956 divided by 7 is 136.571429

  • @ownedu4life yes when u round from the 5 after the 8

  • @ownedu4life It`s because your calculator cannot show more than 6 digits after the point,so it roughly equals 0.00000857 as 0.000009

  • can he do...... LOGARITHMS??!!!

  • @pifibbi off course

  • @pifibbi Yes he can.......Watch Stan Lee's Superhumans....

  • @pifibbi Yes he can

  • @pifibbi search humancalculator superhumans

  • @pifibbi impossible!

  • 6:30 no kidding?!

  • Rüdiger Gamm...nuf said.

  • I'm failing geometry!!! FML!

  • heheh .. Do you find scott impressive , Take a look at someone faster than him a lot .. he s name is RUDIGER GAMM a German citizen, he s a lot faster than him and more impressive , i am sure that scott could not handle him ....

  • and i sad i was smart :P

  • Okay... Lemme see. 789+145+653+358... Ehh... hmmmm... Math??

  • Scott is totally amazing.. I knew Scott in Basic Training in the Air Force in 1982. He was good then, but has expanded his skills exponentially. I knew back then that he was going to go places.

  • this guy is obviously a retard "all of this means that scott has a remarkable more-than-human brain that works like none other"- er no it doesn't you fag, didn't you hear the doctor? he has the same brain, he just uses it differently.

  • FFFSSSSSS I WANT THAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT >:( this is making me angry :D lol :(

  • That's the same cube root he did in... a video I just watched before?

  • thiss dude came to my school today!

  • They only show him doing base-10 numbers. I wonder if he can do other bases as easily, such as base-16 or base-2.

  • came to my house the other day did all my math homework :)

  • @Ch1charitO14 ". . .for the rest of the YEAR!!!!"

  • ahh 2 people think there smarter then him lolz

  • is it me or did she beat him even if you took off the 343 from her 1547.... i mean 1547 - 343 is 1231, he got 1190....

  • @chessdude1000 he beat her because she had the wrong total... 343 is not a mutliple of 34 (obviously) and what's more impressive is that he knew where and what was the wrong button she pressed..

  • @PostBrod no but 340 is so im still taking off more anyway even i i take off the next number in the sequence 374 she still had more??

  • @chessdude1000 Ur not faster if ur wrong. So the score doesn't count cuz she needs to give the right number

  • besides the cube root trick, giving long division of short numbers with periods, there is no real difference in calculating the first digit behind the decimal point or any number of them, if you know the period. period of 1/7 is 142857, so if the first digit is 2, the rest is 857 142857 142857, and if it is 5, the rest is 7 142857 142857, and same for 1, 4, 8, 7 :)

magicians use rings with 142857 printed/embossed in some tricks too :)

  • And THATS why calculators were made. So that humans can only attempt, maybe with a single succeeding, to re-enact calculators. So that we, average, mundane human beings can live the rest of our lives without numerical distractions.

  • A little too pompous for general appreciation of talent. Talking about the "easy stuff"? and the boasting about how he is "lazer-like". Yeah gee dude you're a genius beyond measure but you're not the only type of talent here.

  • @m3rcurial

he has every right to claim it was "easy" if it was- you wouldn't know would you. why can't you just accept the truth.

  • yeh he was here in south africa aswell :)

  • yahh he came to mine too

  • yeahh he came to mine too

  • he came to my school today

  • can he do my trig homework that i should be doing right now?

  • can he do algebra?

  • like he said. its like his 2nd nature. his a MUTANT!!!! his not even solving. his like just counting. hope he can solve {sine, cosines, tangeant} something like that!. then his gonna be a "human scientific calculator"

  • Comment removed

  • get him to do pie hehehehehehehehe

  • this is like mystery diagnosis only MD is more scary and crazy

  • I say he's bullshit liar. he uses a system to get on tv. liar.

  • @Thetruthishere11 i agree this is probably acting this thing is bunch of lies but its pretty cool

  • these are not math skills, are number skills.

  • I'm not saying this guy isn't absolutely amazing, but the cube root part is a total trick. Anybody can do it just as fast as he can.... it's not math. All you have to do is memorize the cubes of 1 through 9. When given a number, say, 658,503... just what the first three digits are: 658. This is above the cube of 8, 512, but below, the cube of 9, 729. So the first digit is 8. 503 ends in a 3... so does the cube of 7. So the number is 87. Sounds complicated but it's actually really easy.

  • @Kuploosh umm yer easy

  • @Kuploosh you should post a video of you doing it

  • @ivan134 I would but if I do it on a vid that's not like an actual TV show people will think it's fake and I just memorized the answers.

  • @Kuploosh if you honestly think he does it by memorization or math tricks ur an idiot. look up other videos of him.

  • @ivan134 I was only referring to the cube root thing. Everything else he does is legit.

  • Just saw this guy on History channel, guy is amazing man.

  • he came to our school on 26-8-2010

  • i could bring him!

  • I watched a show on him last night. And it turns out the the part of you brain. (area 44) that does math, is hardly active and the part of the brain he uses when doing math is the part that controls movement which causes him to get complex answers without even thinking about doing it. Which is what we do when moving. We do complex movements without thinking.

  • @xuGxProductions OMG I watched that too. It was on the History Channel like 2 in the morning right.

  • Cube root of 658,053...

    Oh thats easy...87

    WHATTTT!!! HOW?

  • i saw a show that says the way it works is a part of his brain called area 41 (this is were we solve math problums) is in a diffrent position and is in the same area as basic functions like movment so solveing problums is like moveing your hand to him. And i would love to be able to do that.

  • i t was on stan lee super humans

  • he came to our school :D

    man he is sick

  • @noe233 what school

  • rudiger gamm is much better search youtube and watch him

  • @alexe0vlad0alexandru rudiger gamm is much slower and he practices..

  • uhhh...1500-300 is NOT less than 1100.

  • @Mumblez5772 Yeah I know she beat him.... but he's still amazing.

  • I say they make a math challenge/test show for him and Rudiger Gamm. I don't know who is faster but these two are cut from the same cloth. Awesome to watch.

  • @quadbravo there is the Mental Calculation World Cup where both Rudiger and Scott have competed
